After a good night's sleep, I feel less stressed about my diet. I just needed some rest! Today should be another crazy day at work, so I need to keep my energy level up!

Good morning Katie and all of our clean peeps to follow!

I had a GREAT night's sleep too. DH and I both woke up in the exact same postition we went to sleep in. NOt enough hours (6), but more than usual, and it feels great. Looking forward to Saturday morning already.

w/o - either a rest day if I'm too busy (very likely) or LIS cardio

b - kashi, apple
s - maybe another apple
l - probably salad w/ veggies and hard-boiled egg whites
s - ?? seems like this one is always a ??
d - big ?? - need to check the pantry, take a poll from the fam

I've been wanting to make some pumpkin bread. Problem is, I don't always do so good at portion-control on my homemade breads. granted, it has the pumpkin which is super for you, but there's also the flour and sugar and butter/oil.

Kate, what kind of Kashi do you eat? Is it cereal? The one kind of Kashi cereal that I tried was NOT GOOD -- I don't like it.

What kind(s) of cereal are clean? I eat Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds, which has sugar, but I don't know what is better....?

Butts and Guts is done, and I feel good. HOWEVER, now I have to walk up the stairs for my shower, hopefully I can make it!!

I'm glad you had a good time at your moms Kate. "Isn't it funny how people who don't eat healthy almost get *mad* when YOU do?" LOL :7 That's for sure they are almost insulted when you order a salad with grilled chicken and they order a bigmac. People think that you are trying to push them into a healthy life style. My co-worker got insulted when I offered her half of my chicken sandwich...I guess the whole wheat bread was just too much for her }(

My son woke up this morning and there was puke all over his bed. Poor kid just moved to the other end of his bed and went back to sleep. Thankfully his dad is coming to get him so I can go to work.

Good Morning!

I have a stiff neck this morning and I am not happy.:( MY DD climbed in bed with us in the middle of the night and I must have slept in an odd position. I can barely move to the left. I stretched and massaged it for about 30 minutes already. I had planned to do yoga today. Maybe that will help. I am supposed to teach 2 classes this afternoon.

Eating was tidy yesterday. I had a small piece of homemade banana cake I made. It was yummy and worth it! ;)

Katie, I'm sorry your son is sick; poor little guy. I loved the pictures you posted. Your son is adorable and I hope he feels better soon.

Robin, I've never tried Kashi oatmeal. Maybe your coworker will take your lead and start making healthier food choices. ;)

Katie - The Kashi I eat is GoLoean Crunch. It is so yummy. I could eat it every meal. Add on a banana or apple and you feel like you're eating desert. It is very crunchy so I let mine sit for a couple of minutes before I eat it to soften it up a little. mmmmmmm
^5 on B&G. Haven't done that one in a while.
Sorry about Collin! Bummer. What a brave little guy! Isabel (my 3-yo.) puked MOnday and now 2x today. Diarrhea the last 3 days. We're going to the dr. in an hour. Very wierd for her to act this way. And she's acting fine otherwise. I'm sure it's just a bug that needs to run it's course - just want reassurance that there's no "superbug" going around.

Speaking of super bug, my youngest sis has Mersa (sp?), that strain of staph that is "deadlier than AIDS" if it progresses. She's on a whoppin' dose of meds. I'm scared because wwe are with her ALL THE TIME.

DD needs me - catch up on the rest later!
 
Wow sorry to hear about your sister with the staph infection. Just keep checking yourself for lesion or wounds that won't heal.I sure they told you to disinfection everything, such as table tops, bathrooms etc.

I hope your son feels better Katie.
 
Ah, I'm back. Isabel just has a bug. Dr. said to keep her home from preschool tomorrow.

Katie, As far as other clean cereals I'm probably not the one to ask. Shredded wheat is okay, but gets kind of boring to me. I can think of plenty of unclean ones....lucky charms...cocoa puffs,...count chocula...fruity pebbles.....

Thanks for asking about my b'day. We'll br going to my inlaws Friday night (MIL always makes big meal / cake for the whole fam = too many calories.) I'm dreading it - food nightmare. Butter on everything. I hope she make a cake I don't like! (Which kind is THAT, you say!) On my actual b'day (Saturday) I'm really hoping I get to sleep in (doubt it). I'll likely make b'fast for everyone. Also hoping DH lets me workout in the AM. In the afternoon we're going to a birthday party for DH's great-aunt who's turning 80. There is no one available to babysit sat. night for us to go out by ourselves and I am ACHING for a date night. I feel extremely selfish BUT I WANT A DATE NIGHT!!!! It has been months and months. Oh well, as they say.

My day has been semi-according to plan. Tidy at least. Craving something sweet really bad. Trying to stay out of the kitchen.

Stay strong Kate going over relatives houses can be stressful and it sound like you do need a date night. Print out the posting that you just wrote and leave it laying around the living room or bed room...he will get the hint.

Shirl I had a stiff neck for almost 5 days...I think I injured it somehow. I took some painkillers.

Good new Cathe is on the cover of the Holiday Collage Video's Guide and she looks great. I'm going to hang it up next to the Cathe calendar. My DD thinks I'm nuts:+
 
Good evening ladies! It is only 7 pm and I am ready for bed! I will observe the two hour rule and go soon, in about an hour.

I want to confess -- I ate a chocolate peanut butter bear at work today. It's one of those school fundraiser boxes of candy things, but it was GOOD! I'm glad I ate it -- sugar and protein, and it tasted yummy!

I need to sleep well tonight -- I wanna do IMAX2 tomorrow!

Katie - great willpower last night. I always have the same problem when I go to my in-laws. Too much food and nothing healthy. They told me they are on this diet where they diet Mon through Thurs and then eat normally on the weekend. So far they haven't lost any weight. I wonder why.
Robin - never tried Kashi oatmeal. I like my oatmeal really bland and I think Kashi just has flavored oatmeal. My mom never let me eat sugared cereal growing up and I never acquired the taste for sugared cereals and oatmeal. I have tried but I usually eat one serving and through it out. I guess that it is a good thing.
Shirl - sorry about your neck. I hope it is feeling better
Kate - I hope your son is better. Sorry about the bear - I always want to help people with their fundraisers, but if I buy chocolate I end up eating it all.

Hi,

My neck still hurts; I can hardly move. I have an appt. tomorrow morning. Hopefully that will help. I didn't stick to my menu, but I didn't do too bad.
