Wouldn't mind a hug right about now. :(

I don't do the fancy-smancy hugs either...but here's a plain ole one for you Bam.

{{{{{{hug}}}}}

Btw...are you an Emeril fan?

Hi Bam,

Hang in there. A friend of mine went thorugh the same thing and with the proper medication and time helped. She has bounced right back.

A Big {{{{{{Hug}}}}}}}}} to you.

Good morning everyone! What an incredible way to start my day by seeing so much love and support from you! I knew I found a special place when I discovered this board not too long ago. You have helped lift my spirits and shown me caring that unfortunately many people in my life have no clue how to do. I am truly touched by each and every one of you more than I can express. Exercise is what I save any energy that I have for each day. I honestly don't care about going out or being social right now. It's funny because it's almost harder to muster up energy to try and carry on conversations with others than to work out. I guess I only have myself to think about when I'm working out and I don't have to worry about anyone else. I would like to thank all of you who I have not previously thanked:

Shawna, Debbie, Robin, Kali, Icklemoley, Marie, Gayle, Shannon, Becky, Judy, Missy, Dallas, 40something (forgive me, emeril fan?), Sheila, Marietta, Babybird, Lorrie, Amy, and Beth! You are all very special and may perfect health be in each and everyone of your lives for you and your families! Love and hugs to you!

Bam

Bam,

Thanks for posting this. I am also hypothyriod and am really struggling with it right now. I just had a series of blood tests and a sonogram on Monday. I'm going through a really frustrating time not knowing what's "wrong", why I don't sleep the whole night through and this horrible exhaustion. It's thrown me into a dark hole that I deseparately want out of. Hopefully next Monday when I see my dr., she will have some answers. I just about died when the sonogram tech said that there was no change in my thyroid from 5 years ago! sigh....

Thanks again for sharing!
Heather

Hi Bam...I asked if you were an Emeril Lagasse fan from the Food Network. When he's cooking he's always going "BAM" when he adds his special seasoning mixes to dishes.:D

Bam,

With a tear in my eye, and a warm felt hug to you. I'm glad you know that it will get better. Keep remembering that.

Continue on, you are important in this world.

Janie

Thanks Debbie & 40something for the Bam explanation. Actually I do know who he is and I think he stole Bam from me. I had it first! lol

Janie, "Continue on, you are important in this world." What a wonderful thing to say. I think we all need to remember this. :)

Kathryn, I just considered myself hugged. Thank you!

Heather, I am so sorry you're also experiencing this. Please have your cortisol levels checked. I wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep for hours and in my case, it's because of cortisol which has created my adrenal burnout (exhaustion) stage. It is vital to address the adrenals when trying to correct the thyroid. In many, most cases, you have to build up the adrenals before you can start addressing the thryroid. Blood work doesn't necessarily paint the most accurate picture of the adrenals. Saliva testing is more accurate and it's done in 4 stages throughout the day. On your thryoid tests, the TSH level, which may show in the "normal" range on the results, may really be too high from a different integrative approach. Unfortunately too many people are having thryoid issues that are not being addressed because of the so called "normal" readings. What is normal anyway? We are all different and know how we are feeling so we can't be dismissed because everything on paper looks perfect. I've had "normal" test results for years. In fact, I was in "perfect" health according to these tests but thankfully I have practitioners who look beyond the norm and ask for other more defining tests in some cases. If I can be of any further help, please let me know. We need to be healthy in this world. That is our "true" nature. I truly hope you can find some answers and a proper protocol to feel great! (((( )))) to you!

Hugs to you, Bam, and to you as well, Heather! This is a happy little slice of cyberspace, isn't it?

I was hypothyroid, hypoadrenal, iron very low, fatigue that was controlling my life, severe abdominal pain, liver counts that were off the charts. (There may have been a few others...!) After a neurologist, gastroenterologist, ENT, hundreds of dollars in copays, full body studies, my friend recommended a naturopath to me. A year later, I am a picture of great health, and only my liver number aren't "perfect." But instead of in the 90s, my numbers are in the low 20s. My ND wants them below 20, so not much farther to go.

It's a different approach and one I had never tried, but I was desperate! If you hit a wall in your medical treatment, please consider a naturopath.

One thing my ND said was that the "normal" levels are determined by compiling data from thousands of average Americans. Over the years, the ranges have gotten worse as the health of the average American has declined. I think most of us on this board are striving for above average!
Best of luck to you, and remember that hugs are given freely here!

Hi Dayna. Thank you for the hugs and info on your health. I am extremely happy for you that you are so much better. You must feel like you have a new life! I have been into alternative health for the majority of my life. I have spent out of pocket into the tens of thousands of dollars for my health because alternative people weren't covered by insurance. I can't even begin to tell you how many different regimens I've tried. I've done some very funky things. I might have slightly improved but then I would have setbacks. I've been to WELL over 60 different people. Nobody could figure out how to get my symptoms under control. Unfortunately I continued to get worse. I've got some good people I'm working with now and as with everyone I've worked with, I believe they will be the one to figure out how to get me healthy again. I do lots of mind/body work and it does help. I'm always looking into new things also whenever I have the energy to do so. You just can't give up. Thankfully you got your health under control so you could enjoy your life. I'm looking forward to that myself. Here's to health!

Bam
