Would like your reviews of Turbo Jam!!

Little Angel

Cathlete
I have read elsewhere many wonderful reviews of this product and, as a workout junkie, I'm tempted. But Cathe has spoiled me! I've purchased many a "sizzling hip-shaking" program only to find the intensity was nowhere near what I want. I know some of you have mentioned Turbo Jam, so please let me know what you think!

I'm 56 with a few knee issues, but I can do mixed impact workouts, just not the extreme high impact for prolonged periods. So Cathe works for me because I can do pre-mixes and leave out the segments I'm uneasy about. I am a high-level intermediate I would say; when I order from Collage I look for Inter/Adv or Advanced level workouts in order to get a good workout. If I go less than that, I'm disappointed.

So, how would Turbo Jam suit me? What do you think of it? Is it fun? It seems they use really aggressive marketing on it, and that always makes me wonder. Cathe never has to resort to that!

Please share your wisdom! Thanks...

Thanks -- I did and it said there were over 400 threads where it was mentioned. The thread titles didn't mention TJ, so I thought I would have to weed my way through. I tried narrowing it down and only came up with one where it was about their customer service. I don't mean to waste anybody's time, so I can look again. However, I thought maybe if I listed some of my specific interest/levels, maybe somebody could take the time to respond. If so, I'd be interested! If not, I'll look further. Thanks for your time!

I was doing searches here on Turbo Jam recently too. Most Cathe-ites thought it was too easy. But I like Walk Away The Pounds (shhh--don't tell!) so I might like it sometimes. Ijust have to figure out how to buy Cardio Party without having to buy all the other junk that comes with it. Let me know if you find out!

Hello,
I'll answer a few of your questions. Turbo Jam is fun and I do like the product. The product is marketed by beachbody. They also market power90 and slim in 6. I see these infomercials just about every morning. You are a high-level intermediate/Adv so I think that you may not like the intensity of this product. Some will argue that you can make it as intense as you want, but you can only do so much. I consider it a light workout for me, not walk away the pounds light. Do you have Kick, Punch&Crunch from Cathe? If you do, it is no where near that intense.

I'll stop here before this post gets too long.

Thanks so much for addressing my questions! I was kind of thinking it might not be quite enough for me, but I figured of a lot of Cathe-folk loved it, maybe I should give it a try. I will probably invest my money in another Cathe instead!

Thanks again to all who replied.

Hi, I love my Turbo Jam workouts but I think the gym version (Turbo Kick) is more intense. I have bought the Turbo Kick home study program and I have received a Turbo Kick round (round 25) and I love it.I think the new TJ live cardio workout called Cardio Party Remix is more advanced than the first set of workouts but it is only 30 minutes lenght. The next four workouts are:

1.Totally Tubular Turbo - Sculpting with weights and Tubing (resistence bands)
Approximately 30 min.

2. Kick, Punch and Jam - Pure Cardio plus Capoeira. This workout is very intense, but a bit less dancy (well except that yours truly can't help to shake a little here and there!). This one is a butt kicker, but the approximately 50 plus minutes really do fly by. In fact one of the cast members asked me when we finished "Wasn't that supposed to be at least 50 minutes", I said, "It was!". She replied, "Dang. That flew by!"
Approx. 53 min.

3. Fat Blaster - an interval workout combining 2 minutes of aerobic work followed by 2 mintues of a Turbo Drill...repeated for 30 minutes. Eat your Wheaties before you try this one. You'll want to use this workout any time you want to be certain to drop some serious calories and drop 'em fast!
Approx. 30 min.

Here's three of the Turbo Girls from the Fat Blaster (Jenelle - my little sister, Leili - My adopted sister, and Mindy - My favorite Southern Bell

4. Cardio Party 3 - Total party! Jenelle, Mindy, Anna-Rita, Holly, Vicki, there all back (and yes Chicken George was invited to the party, but needed a bit more notice with his *cough* *cough* CEO responsibilities and all). None the less, we did him proud and had everyone give us a taste of their own personal style! You'll love this worktout. It's about as close to a live class as you can find. We had a huge cast and the energy was so high that even after they yelled "CUT", we were still kicking, puncinging and jammin'!
Approx. 52 min.

There are rumours about the release of the workouts: 6 of february for the CPM 3 and KPJ and 20 of february for the other two.
