Good Morning everyone,

This morning I did the Upper Body workout from CTX. My arms feel like jello. I had never done this workout before. It is part of Sandras CTX rotation which I'm sure is going to have me fried by the end of the week-(Thanks Sandra:))

Carole-Thanks for the tip on where to get the weighted gloves.

Jes, in case you didn't see the other post from Marla- how did your dinner go? I was thinking about you last night and hoping for the best.:)

Just got my Active you Catalog yesterday but I wish I knew what page the outfit that Cathe has on in Core Max is on. I really would like that outfit (and the tankini Lorraine is wearing in IMAX 3). So if someone could help me that would be great. Also I remember someone's post about a list of what Cathe and the girls are wearing - is there one, if so I couldn't find it?

Good morning Wendy....I only have CTX in VHS, but doing all the upper body would fry those arms. Sandra comes up with some tough rotations!

Can't help you with Active You. Doubt I will order anything.

I am doing PLB today and a 7 mile run. It was supposed to be very cold last night like 25....but they predicted a bit off....32...which is still cold...:)....enjoy the workouts....:)...Carole

Wendy....I have the top that Cathe wears in Coremax...I don't have the catalog in front of me as I'm at work now but I can get the item number as soon as I get home if you'd like. I really like those pants too....looks like she's wearing navy with the periwinkle top. Also, with the catalog you should have received an additional sheet that shows the outfits (and colors available) that cathe wore in IMAX3, High step Challenge and musclemax..I think it's called the Rio de Janeiro collection. Send Sharon an email or call her, she is great, just describe the item and she will point you in the right direction...hope that helps!

Good morning!

Wow! I had so much fun this morning. I did my homemade circuit workout using Cardio Kicks and Leaner Legs. I don't know why, but doing these two circuit-style increases their fun-factor 3-fold. And I...feel...so....GOOD!! By time I got to the punch-medley at the end of CK, I was throwing sweat around the room like a lawn sprinkler.

Wendy - Isn't that a delicious feeling? CTX was the first weight training workout of Cathe's that I ever tried. When I first did it, I could only do the chest work with the barbell alone; no weights required! I certainly could NOT do the entire upper body in one day. I've come a long way since then, but when I'm looking for a good upper-body burn, CTX Upper Body Split is what I go for. Gotta love those push ups }(

Carole - I'd call PLB followed by a 7 mile run a very tough workout! More sadistic than anything I'm likely to come up with LOL! It sounds like it's getting chilly in your part of the world. Will you likely be running in snow on Jan. 1?

Sandy - I'm glad you were too exhausted for the pikes; that's the level of intensity I was looking for :) However, I only suggested that you do the combos, not the intensity drills. Why did you change? Do you like the drills better than the combos? I'm not criticizing, just curious. A really fun workout, if you have a multi-disk player, would be to alternate SB combos with KPC combos. Too bad the Timesaver doesn't have the KPC combos on it, or I'd do that myself. Enjoy the gym today!

Jes - Yes, please tell us how the dinner party went! Are you still married?

Mariángeles - yes, Cathe is at her most sadistic in MIC hi/lo. Unless you count the evil little laugh she gives during ME (or is it in PH?) when she makes you hold those bicep curls half way.

Annette - you already sound so serious about your diet. Given you limitations, what more can you do to eat better? The rotation you mentioned yesterday - is it one you made up, one of Cathe's or someone elses' (like the insane Aquajock's? :)

Aila - that's amazing that you can do all those pikes now!! I still need to take a break during PUB pikes. My arms are so exhausted by then that I just can't do them all with good form, unless I break between the roll-ins and the pikes.

Marla - how was Legs & Glutes? What's on today's menu?

Katie - I hope that croup goes away soon! Isn't that just an awful sounding cough? Poor kid. You did a great workout yesterday! That should help you work off that holiday eating quite well!

Donna - So how was PS after 2 weeks of SH? Any difference? I am very curious about the results of November's rotation.

Wendy CTX upper body is great. I post the Wanda's message you are talking about:

Hi Kathryn, I'm taking the liberty of stepping in and trying to help out a little. I'm not very organized so please pardon the mess.. Here goes.
The brand and style numbers that Cathe and crew are wearing in Muscle Max,(purple) High Step Challenge pink, and the Lime one with the band (?) is: The Rio DE Janeiro Group. They come in colors Purple, Pink, Lime, and Blue.

The pants are black with two-toned bands. Style #3364 they are called trio color waistband, easy crop bootlegs, side slits.

The tops are: style #1775, scoop front bra top, contrast piping detail, x-back, front lined
and style #1777 scooped front, side piping details x-back, shelf bra tankini

The blue top in Core Max is #1134

Stretch Max is Oh My Bod Style #5200 Deep brown and pink

3 bra tops, turquoise, pink, and black I don't have a number for but they are Oh My Bod. The yellow tops and shorts are on my personal backorder. I do not have a number at this time.

Kick Max: The black pants Oh My Bod #1720 and the top I believe is NIKE.

Having actual numbers will sound more professional in placing an order. I stammered around with, "I want what Cathe and the girls bought." Which was easier than, "I want what Cathe is wearing in this video and what Brenda wore in that one." LOL

I think the top cathe uses in Low Max is the number 200. You have it in different colors. I have ordered the pink Cathe wears in one of the gym style workouts and Jay uses in IMAX 3. You can send a mail to Sharon of active you. The mail I have is : [email protected].

Why did I change it up you ask?? Well... for 2 reasons 1st being that I was a bit of a airhead as I didn't have the rotation in front of me like I should have, I just remembered KPC something or other..LOL and alsoI felt I couldn't do an entire combo so I just went into mix and match and did the intermediate then a portion of the high intensity..OMG I couldn't even finish that segment I was ready to fall to the ground!! Although i did start late,as I got home late after making a detour stop at Target and Michael's (arts/crafts store)and got sidetracked looking at all the christmas decorations:+ ;)!! Anyhow printed out the rotation so now I'll be all set:D !

Mariangeles.....Powerflex is almost identical to PowerHour and ME, I really enjoy taking it once a week at my gym! Me alegra mucho que te sientes mejor!! Escribo un poco en castellano porque necessito la practica! (I'm so happy you feel better; I'm writing a little in spanish because I could use the pracice!) Have fun with HSTA!!
 
Hi all,

Sandra, I basically am cutting out sugar again, and with not being able to chew sugarless gum like I did before this is going to be tough. I chewed some yesterday evening( evenings are my bad time for wanting to eat) and I had some cramping from the sugar alcohols but if I can find that secret number that doesn't put me over the edge I think I can handle it. I was down 3 pounds this morning which was nice. The rotation I am doing was made up by Becky U, a poster on this forum it is a 1 body part per day (with the exception of Wed.) plus cardio rotation using Slow and Heavy but she stated that you could switch to PS or the Pyramids if you get tired of S&H. It is all done in just about an hour which is nice. I bet if you did a search you could find it. I like this rotation the best.

I did Pyramid Upper Body back and CTX Kickbox with abs from Leaner Legs (abs is an add on I do everyday).

Morning all! I did IMAX 2 this morning. I actually haven't done that one in awhile. It's so much fun, but I just dread Interval 5 and 9! My husband came out during one of the intervals and thought he would be funny and imitate me. Anyone else have spouses who do this? I just keep telling him to put on his shoes and join me because I would LOVE to see him try to get through just one of Cathe's workouts. He, as usual, declined. I try so hard not to laugh when he imitates me because I don't want to encourage him.

Sandra - The baby is doing much better. Thanks for asking. My muscles are feeling a little sore from my workout yesterday, but it's a good sore.

Afternoon all!

This morning I was pressed for time so I was only able to do 25 mins. of KPC, 15 mins on the StairMaster and

guess what (Marla) I did one set of 20 on the sissy squat machine }(. Wished I had more time I would have pushed for 3-4 sets.

Wow, ya'll are great for thinking of me last night. Everything went ok. They wrecked my spotless kitchen and dh's client broke my oldest christmas heirloom that was dh's great grandmother's but other than that it was fine. The "Clients" invited people that i wasn't expecting, but men are notorious for that. I got to meet the head honcho and talked with him alot. None of the wives ended up comming so i was the only female there! Anyway, i survived and dh was very appreciative. You are all great for caring! I was sitting there listening to all of them talk about themselves and work and the whole time i was wishing they would leave so i could come check what was on the forum..i'm addicted, what can i say?? i did manage to get an upper body workou in , but that was it. So today...i have to catch up. i am going to do the 90 premix of SB/SJP that you all keep raving about. Thanks for the support and i hope you all have a great day!

Jes, That is hysterical about the dessert-More for you, but I don't know if I'd share with the DH or not:)!! I say, if you don't have all Cathe's DVD's yet, your husband OWES them to you now!!! Wish my DH would screw up just enough for me to order more Cathe;).

Katie - My DH doesn't imitate me but when he comes around when I'm working out he just says I look so goofy-and I probably do! But no, he won't take me up on the challenge of doing a Cathe workout - he tried that once and lasted oh....about 5 minutes!

Mariángeles and Sandy - Thanks for the clothes info. Gotta look through the catalogs again tonight to pick out my purchases!:)

Hi, ya'll! Did Legs & glutes last night but only a 40" premix, 'cause I worked a 12h shift yesterday. Guess it was not bad. I will probably do HSTA tonight because I haven't done it in a while.

Haydee, how were those sissy squats? Were they hard on you knees. I really don't remember them being rough but that's been a while.

Sandra- do you approve of HSTA tonight. I don't feel sore from L & G & then KPC on Sunday nite. Thanks, TIA.

Well, i did my workout ,but not the one i said. just not up to it. i did SB 45 min premix of combos, 2, 3 and challenge. That was enough. i am going to get on the treadmill a little later..i think i should start running some and see if that doesn't get this weight off of me. for all of you who run, please give me some pointers for getting started and keep in mind that i am NOT in the greatest of shape...YET.

no one got desert, i chunked it. i would have eaten it othewise. x(

Hey Marla,

I like the exercise but I will be honest with you, my right knee has been aching for the past week or sox(, probably due to leg presses and walking up & down VERY steep steps daily.

It was a little scary at first:eek: b/c as you're down in a seated position, you continue to go down b/c there is absolutely nothing behind you to brace or put your back on.

I'm going to try to do this for 2-3x's a week and who knows maybe I will get the teardrops I've been looking for}(.

Marla, LOL! I most certainly do approve of HSTA if your legs are feeling fine after yesterday! A 40 min premix of LG probably wasn't overly taxing, and the lower body work in HSTA is sufficiently different from LG that you won't be overusing your muscles in any particular way. Enjoy!

Jes, a 45 min version of SB including the challenge is a great workout! Good work!

Katie, glad to hear the baby is doing better! And yes, I can imagine you would be a tad tender after y-day's workout! It was a toughie!

Annette, I just cut sugar out of my diet about 8 weeks ago. I'm very happy with the results. Good luck to you! And thank you for the rotation info, I'll look it up.

Mariángeles and Sandy, I know Dora Spanish: De nada! Abre! Muchos gracias! Mama! Papa! And a bunch of other things aimed at the level of a four year old. :)

Sandy, I see why you did the KPC drills. And yes, I am not surprised you were so tired. They are hard work! If you want to just do SB alone on Saturday, rather than the SB/KPC sequence, that would still be a great workout.
