OMG....first I did Legs & Glutes standing until ankle weight part then P90X Plyometrics! Wow...that to me is EHIIT (EXTREME High Intensity Interval Training) What a workout. When Tony was at a hr of 153 I was at 147. I averaged 140 which is my highest average for HIIT yet. I will relax the rest of the day...:D ...Carole

Hi all,

Well today was one of those days.... I cycled home from work thinking up all sorts of excuses why I shouldn't run: I was tired, dark clouds overhead, looked like rain, it was late so we'd eat late. By the time I got home I decided I would run only 3K instead of the 10K I had scheduled. So I left the front door and the sun came through the clouds. I thought I could do 5K couldn't I. It's a short run, right. I could go even slower than my usual turtle's pace. There was no rush. So I started my run. After nearly 3K I could make a choice: left I'd run 6K, right I'd run 5K. And my feet simply went left. after 5.5K there's a point where I could go run a 1K circle. Why not make it 6.5K.... It's a nice day for it, isn't it. Once I ran the circle, I could go left and run another circle, or turn back and go home. My feet just kept going left-left-left. Without giving me a chance to even think about it, my feet went left-left-left again. And before I knew it, I'd run the 10K I had scheduled.... You can be sure I'll still be going left-left-left in my dreams tonight!

BTW, I ran 2K-2K-1K-1K-1K-1K-1K-1K with 1min walk breaks. It took me 74:53min to complete. And I admit, in the end my 1min walk breaks were not exactly 60seconds. More like 70 seconds. Or was it 80 seconds?

Enjoy your day.

Dutchie

You see, Dutchie, you'd just never know. I'm glad you had a good run.

Carole, I did plyo too today. My hr was about 125-138 since I can't do much jumping. So the plyo is rather a good leg wo for me, not so much of a cardio.
I did 20min stairmaster before.

How is your chest and back? Mine is not sore but I have that good feeling in the muscles that you have after a very good workout.

Enjoy the day, gang!:)

Dutchie..I am really proud of you....not many times that I did the distance if I didn't feel like it! And you will love P90X! I was so excited about Plyo that I forgot to mention my pleasantly sore back and lower abs from Ab Ripper...which is cool as I rarely get my low abs sore...my chest muscles are not that sore, should have done more push-ups...:D...Carole

Hi all, I am beginning to feel out of place on this thread with all the P90X talk. LOL!! Please don't ban me because I don't "do it"!!??:+ :p
I did Slow and Heavy Back including the superman and plank work( I usually skip that), then I did the Cardio Conditioning Premix off of Kick, Punch and Crunch. I am follow a rotation someone posted on the Ask Cathe forum. Tomorrow is Slow and Heavy Legs and Shoulders, but first my boys' homeschool evaluator is coming over to do our evaluation.

So I will have to exercise after she leaves but she is bringing her 7 month old (menopausal) baby with her so I get to hold and cue over a baby girl!!:7 :D :) (Have to remember I have all boys);-)

Hope you all have a great workout!:)

Please Annette, don't feel left out at all....:)..I enjoy reading your workouts and about those boys...And Slow & Heavy is not for lightweights!!! And those planks... ;( very hard for me...Have fun with that cute little baby girl, Slow & Heavy legs is a killer...:)...Carole
