Hi all,
Well today was one of those days.... I cycled home from work thinking up all sorts of excuses why I shouldn't run: I was tired, dark clouds overhead, looked like rain, it was late so we'd eat late. By the time I got home I decided I would run only 3K instead of the 10K I had scheduled. So I left the front door and the sun came through the clouds. I thought I could do 5K couldn't I. It's a short run, right. I could go even slower than my usual turtle's pace. There was no rush. So I started my run. After nearly 3K I could make a choice: left I'd run 6K, right I'd run 5K. And my feet simply went left. after 5.5K there's a point where I could go run a 1K circle. Why not make it 6.5K.... It's a nice day for it, isn't it. Once I ran the circle, I could go left and run another circle, or turn back and go home. My feet just kept going left-left-left. Without giving me a chance to even think about it, my feet went left-left-left again. And before I knew it, I'd run the 10K I had scheduled.... You can be sure I'll still be going left-left-left in my dreams tonight!
BTW, I ran 2K-2K-1K-1K-1K-1K-1K-1K with 1min walk breaks. It took me 74:53min to complete. And I admit, in the end my 1min walk breaks were not exactly 60seconds. More like 70 seconds. Or was it 80 seconds?
Enjoy your day.
