Workout Hair

How do you ladies revamp your hair after a sweaty workout?
I usually workout 5 x a week and my hair gets dull from the sweat but I don't want to wash it every day. I usually keep in a pony tail during the week and I will do it on the weekends. My hair is about shoulder length in layers and very thin. I don't know what else to do.

dry shampoo.. if you can't find it and you're a blond you can use baby powder....just sprinkle in at the scalp and brush out...it make your hair look thicker too.

I have never heard of dry shampoo before. Do you apply it right after a workout and just rub it in? Then style as usual? Sounds interesting

I am SUCH a SWEATY mess after working out, that there's no way I could go without washing my hair. It is literally dripping with sweat and I don't think anything, but washing would help it. I would also feel self conscious about it. My mom on the other hand doesn't sweat much at all, so she only washes her hair a few times a week. I don't think she puts anything in it. She's 60, though so a tad bit different.

I only wash my hair once a week, maybe twice a week. I know it's sounds gross, but I do it because I pay to much to have my hair highlighted and I don't want to strip the color. The less I wash the less I spend at the salon. I tried treseme dry shampoo, but it didn't work for me. It is fustrating though, because by Thursday/Friday time frame I feel ichy. Unless I have something to do during the week, like a doctors appoinment or boy's school soccer game or even school conferences I will wash my hair. It's kind of fustrating though, because I get my hair done, but at the same time I can't enjoy it because I don't want to go as often to get my hair done.

Do you mean you don't want to shampoo it every day, or you don't want to get it wet every day? I ask because I have very thin (though curly) hair and no way can I shampoo it every day - gets so dry! I will get in the shower after the sweaty workout, rinse out the sweat and then put in conditioner - vigorously, as if you were shampooing, to work the scalp a bit. I only use shampoo 1-2 times a week, and my hair looks and feels so much better as a result. I think this would only work if you have dry, thin hair though - my sister tried this and she has really thick hair and it did not work out so well for her.

Both, I don't shampoo or get my hair. I know gross...huh?! My hairdresser does the same thing I do, so I don't feel so bad. That's a good way to keep my husband away from me. :)
