Gooood Mooorning,
After the accident yesterday my knees felt very tight, probably because of impact. So I was worried but it was ok this morning.
I did a 6K tempo run in 39:42, which is slightly slower than my fastest 6K ever, at a 10min/mile pace, which for me is very good.
I pretended to be this old fashioned steam train today
Breathing in I was putting fuel in the engine, the energy would flow thru my body, my arms were those things moving the big wheels and breathing out would cause these whisps of smoke. I focused on the white line on the cycle/foot path it being my rails. As I visualised this big steam engine I really felt I was this big engine moving along having to get to the station in time
At times I totally didn't notice I was running. I almost crossed a road without checking for traffic.
Can you tell I have been reading the Non-Runner's Marathon Trainer by Whitsett/Dolgener/Kole? I have had the book since May and I have read it three times now. It gives many useful tips and visualisation is one of them. I tried before but "failed". I was a big success today though
Have a great day you all,
Dutchie
