Workout bras for *busty* women

Can anyone recommend a good workout bra for a large C/D cup. I prefer having two cups and not having them smushed together and pushed up to my nose, but that is secondary to keeping them in tight and in place.

Thanks!

Also, Title Nine Sports has a frog bra that keeps you in place. I'm not sure about lifting and separating though. I have some Moving Comfort bras which do have individual cups in them. They are very good at keeping motion to a minimum. Mine are size 32DD/34D and keep me from getting black eyes during IMax videos, long runs, and anything else that has a high bounce factor. I ordered mine from Sierra Trading Post.
Hope this helps. I know how uncomfortable it is to be jumping and not have good support. It also isn't good for you, as it seems to break down the tissue in your breasts...as if gravity isn't bad enough!

Yes, am usually a c/d when I am thin but still having lots of baby fat on me I am currently a DD and the BEST workout bra I have ever tried is made my champion. It has a hook closure in the back and does not give you that awful uniboob look which is the worst look on large breasted women. It is very supportive. I can't remember the exact name of the bra though. It is sold on roadrunnersports.com or on onehanesplace.com. Nothing worse than working out and you are jumping one way and your boobs are going the other.- VERY uncomfortable LOL!!!!

Hi I am a DD and bought one from X-Chrom.com.......

it works well and has separate cups no smushing and for added support I put sports bra(the smushing kind) on over top of it and this works well for me. I had been looking and looking and then found this and it has an underwire which I like and need for support. I can't find the name of it at the moment because I am wearing it since I just finished working out. Plus we have no heat(let the oil run out by accident) so I am too cold to change, lol!! They had a chart and questionaire I think you can fill out and it will recommend a bra for you.

Hope that helps !! I am a 40 DD so I know how hard it is!!

God bless you!!

Dear Navy wife, I have always bought champion brands. They have a type for high intensity impact. with no wires to poke you! they can be a little pricey, but they are worth it.They come in all sizes. I have been wearing them for years. They can also be worn for a everyday bra, they make a good minimizer also. Hope this helps corybugg.

The bra I have from x-chrom is a Lunaire brand sports bra.(I finally got heat and was able to change clothes):-jumpy

Hope that helps.

God bless you!!!

LAST EDITED ON Jan-17-03 AT 06:44PM (Est)[p]Thanks ladies. Uni-breast is what I was trying to describe that I want to avoid. I'm going to check out those sites now.

Oh, the problems we have :-rollen :p

Oh man, I purchased on of those Enell bras once..never even wore it once. I put it on and it felt like some kind of strait jacket..literally!! Don't get once of those unless you are in the F+++ range.
I am 36 DD and I only buy Champion bras. I think they are called Full-Figure or something. Actually, they make one in cotton and then one in a different material-like nylon/cotton/spandex mix. Both are pretty much identical in form--back closure, adjustable straps-but the nylon one dries much quicker and is more comfortable in my opinion..It is called Champion full figure Double Dry..or something like that. Made for DD breasts. I wear that for all Cathe tapes and it works great!! My only complaint with sports bras in general is they always seem to shrink. I wash mine once a week, which is really gross considering how much I work out, but I have to in order to preserve its life. I NEVER put it in the dryer, but it has found its way into the washer before..I need a new one now cuz either my boobs are growing or it has shrunk pretty good..
Good Luck..

Try title9sports.com (I think that is the right website) They develop workout clothes only for women. They have tons of offers and the customer service reps can help you decide because all of them wear the stuff.

Dear Navy Wife: I'm going to second the vote for the cotton full-figure sports bra made by champion. I'm a 38DD who should really be wearing a 36 DDD (but where can you find those?!?).

Any way, the champion bra is comfortable, wicks moisture well, and best of all is sold in both the Navy and Army/Air Force Exchanges and at AAFES online! So you only pay $12 - $18 for it depending on the season!
