Workout Blender Question....

Stacy

Cathlete
....can someone explain the purpose of this? Can you use it on a non-programmable dvd player??? I'm a techno-idiot.

Thanks,

Stacy

The workout blender allows you to reorder the workout. So for example in Step Blast if you wanted to do the combos in a different order you could select combo #3, then combo #1, then combo #2, then the cooldown.

You do not need a programmable DVD as the DVD is asking you to make a choice. So when you select the workout blender option, it comes up and says something like "select 1st segment" (can't remember the exact wording). Then you make your choice, then it comes up and says "select 2nd segment", you make next choice, etc. then you select start.

Hope that makes sense. I used that option last night and it was very cool - also my DVD player I use for my workouts is not programmable.:7

WHOA!! That is WAY cool!! I think I'm going to have to ask Santa for a DVD player for upstairs where I work out. Of course, that means I'll have to ask him for all of Cathe's workouts on DVD too ... next year maybe? I think the elves made my present already for this year ... :( Maybe I could ask for this treasure of a present for Mother's Day ... what do you think ????

Carol,
Go for the gusto! Get it ALL for Xmas!!!! You'll have to spend the money anyway!!! The workout blender is very cool. With that and premixes...what can I say? I actually have a player that has both VHS and DVD capability. I have replaced all the VHS I can with DVD (all Cathe of course!) but still have my VHS for older tapes. (I do Cathe almost exclusively though so my VHS are actually collecting dust!)

DVD is the best thing that ever happened to us fitness video enthusiasts!:7 :7

Hi Stacy, I just preview the workout blender, my is a litte different, where say in superset you go to the workout blender I think something like triceps, you click on it once it is #1 segment, click on it 2 times it is #2 segment, ect. Then you scroll down to the start and hit the start and it takes you to that segment. I still have to go and preview the rest.

Oh Carol you must convert to dvds. The workout is endless. You better start writing your Christmas list:)

Well ... I could always workout downstairs in the family room, where the DVD player is ... :D

Hey Santa, if you're reading this, I WANT CATHE ON DVD FOR CHRISTMAS!!! LOL!! (um ... please? :D )

(think that'll work????)'

Hey Carol,

About 6 months ago I sold all my Cathe VHS (and I had most of them) and funded a good start on Cathe DVD's. I was able to fund CTX and IS (with the Terminator which is the best!). I've added the rest since then. I also sold all my old FIRMS (and I had most of those) to pay for my DVD player - after I started using Cathe I didn't care for The Firm anymore. It's a great way convert if Santa Claus doesn't take care of it for you. The DVD's rock! There is no comparison to VHS.

Just my .02 -

Kat

Thanks Kat! Those are great ideas! I still have a bunch of old Firms (all the original six volumes in the clam shell cases too!!) that I no longer use. Since I started using Cathe, I've never gone back!! I'll keep those ideas in mind! Thanks again!!
