THANK YOU!!! Thank you so much for your support, encouragement, and for just being the great cheerleaders that you are!
My 5K was early this morning but we just got home a little bit ago, so I apologize for the late report. It was a perfect day for a 5K; temps were in the low 60's with sunshine and clear skies, and the metro park where we ran was beautiful! My report isn't very exciting really, other than I DID IT and I'm proud of myself for it!! The official times haven't been posted yet, but I THINK I came in right around 42:15 which would be around 40 seconds better than my PR. I did walk/run intervals using Cardio Coach Volume 6 and I'm thrilled that I ran more than I walked. My only regret is that I didn't track the workout with my Nike +. I thought I turned it on and was sorely disappointed at the end of my race to see that I hadn't. The only thing I can think of is that my iPhone screen is hard to see outside in daylight. I wanted to post a pretty graph of my run and I won't be able to do that now, so you'll just have to take my word for it that it was pretty.
All in all I really enjoyed myself. I didn't expect to run the whole distance so I was thrilled that I ran most of it. Not bad for an old timer, eh Nance!!!
I'm so proud of you Michele! YOU DID IT!!! Sorry about your Nike+. I love mine! Mine crapped out (my first one) after only a week. I did take it back and get a new one. I just think it had been on and on the shelf for too long. I do love the pretty graphs, although, mine don't always come out very pretty!
Michele !!!! Somehow I missed all of this. Didn't even know you were planning it .
WAY TO GO !!!!!!!
I can't believe you are the same woman who so strong hated cardio all those years !!!!
