Winter knock-about pants

I wear my adidas pants to the gym, but they're not really warm enough to wear outside in the winter. I have this 25-yr. old pair of Gap sweatpants that are HUGE on me that I still wear to run out to the grocery store. I think it's time I replaced them. I've been looking at fleece pants, but most of the stores have very little stock left. What comfy, warm pants do you wear just to do an errand in the neighborhood?
I need ideas. Thanks.

Hi Nance! It's been awhile! You look amazing! Hope you had a nice Christmas.

I found comfy warm pants at Kohl's. They are N.Y.L. They are a crushed velour and they are warm enough to walk outside in. They're normally $34 but go on sale for $14.

I've been living in them and they are nice enough to wear out anywhere you need to run.
Hope you find something.

I cannot live without my Juicy Couture tracksuits-in terry cloth or velour, and yes, I even pair them with my short Ugg boots!;)

Oh dear, I think I just heard Timm Gunn scream in horror! Tough, they are the most comfy clothes ever invented and oh so cute, well at least I think so.

You can get them on sale at Nordstroms all the time. They are like Allisons Express pants-same cute and comfy look.:)

Target - Champion (I think) sweatpants. Flaired leg, tie at waist which below belly button, come in black, brown, navy, charcoal, heather grey. I think they are around $20.

I have washed them and they still feel like new.

Thanks guys. I must have tried on 25 pairs of pants today and not a single one fit. x( Among other things, they were ALL WAY too long. I'm going to look into all of your suggestions online to see if anything looks like a possibility.

Nancy,
I'm a big fan of Russell Athletic sweats. I have them in black, light gray, dark gray, and navy. Very comfy and a flattering cut. I know Dick's, Sports Authority, and Modell's carry them.

ETA: BTW, I am 5'4" and the length has never been an issue with these (unlike most pants I own!)

I got some nice warm Under Armour pants at Sports Authority. I got them for jogging in cold weather and sometimes they're almost too warm! Very cozy.

As for length, I'm 5'5" and the length is fine--not sure how tall you are, Nancy, so I don't know how they'll work for you.

ETA: This looks like what I have: http://www.sportsauthority.com/prod...&cp=2138915.2138917.2139439&parentPage=family
