wide workout shoes

Uggg...it's that dreaded time of year to locate new workout shoes. I know there are numerous posts on favorite shoes, but I need wide probably size 10.5. Found many good shoes but the wide part is always the problem. That narrows it down to not a whole lot. If anyone has any suggestions for wide crosstrainers I would be doing the happy dance!

Thanks Natalie - I got a pair from them today as a matter of fact and am probably sending them back tomorrow. One nice thing about them is you can wear them for 90 days and then send them back but it's usually a long process for me to come up with anything.

That's why I like them so much. I can really try shoes out, and their prices are awesome especially if you are a member. It can be a process to choose, I know. I usually buy several pair at a time so I don't have to keep ordering and sending back. I just do one big order and one big return of the ones that don't work.

Maybe you are onto something with the one big order. I usually do one pair at a time and it goes on forever it seems and not possible to compare doing it that way. I might just do that tomorrow. Thanks for the idea.

I have found that Rykas run wide and some Asics and Adidas work for me as well. I also have a wide foot. I simply CANNOT wear Nike, Reebok, New Balance. Their shoes are sooooo narrow!

Another wide foot here. Actually my DH says I have duck feet -- he says lovingly.

I second Ryka, the show box works. Also Asics and Saucony!

I have a wide foot, also, and love my Asics Gel (regular and Nimbus); they have mesh and that is probably why I don't need a Wide size for them... good thing, too, because I don't think they come in wide.
Good luck!

Altra Intuition. I have these and love them. They're meant to be sort of minimalist, but they aren't really. They're zero drop, which I like, but I had problems with bruised feet and ankle pain after running in VFFs for a while. These have a much more substantial sole but are super wide and give my toes lots of room.
