I'm only into week 2 of STS and I work out usually around 7 or 8:00 p.m. and after I'm wide awake until near midnight. Is this normal? Usually I'm snoring by 10:30 ! There is no way I can do the workout in the mornings. It must be doing good for my metabolism.
Totally normal. I'm the same way. I try to workout between 6 and 7 as a result. If I work out too late in the evening, I can't sleep at a reasonable hour.
IMO, 7 or 8 is too late to workout to be able to get to sleep before 11.
Can you workout any earlier? You say morning is out: what about late afternoon? Like around 4-6?
I workout at 7:30PM. No morning workout for me either. I work until 7PM so there is no way I could workout before then. I also don't go to sleep until after 11PM. Some days I am more wiped out then others but I still don't go to sleep until at least 12AM or even 1AM.
Hi Parkercp! You will notice this more when you start a new program because your body is in heightened awareness mode! See if you can workout a little sooner, like 6 to 7pm and take a warm bath to calm your nervous energy and sooth your muscles before bed.

For some reason, I'm having the opposite reaction. My body seems to absolutely require at least an extra hour of sleep on STS nights.
So far in Meso 1 I sleep like an absolute LOG, falling asleep earlier than usual, possibly waking up just once but no more than that. I'm usually finishing STS by 6:30p or 7, and eating dinner almost immediately afterwards. I can't stay awake much more than an hour or two after eating. The tiredness of my muscles seems to be helping my mind to relax, which is probably one reason I'm sleeping so well as well as the need to do all that muscle repair work ... And I appreciate that, being normally a restless sleeper.
But I also can fall asleep drinking coffee if I'm tired enough Perhaps my body is wired backwards!
