WHY???

I bought the documentary video Faces of Iraq and what struck me was what beautiful, wonderful, colorful people the mainstream of Iraq are. They are a delightful people.
 
Thanks for sharing. They are beautiful children. I just read something that was very disturbing to me. The British forces actual had to attack a police station in Basra to rescue two of their soldiers. The Iraqi police is now turning on the soldiers? I hope that is an isolated incident.

You're right these poor children should have a normal life.

I was really moved by the pictures. Thank you so much for posting them. I agree with another poster who said we rarely see anything positive about Iraq on the news. Thanks for the work you're doing there and God bless you (and Diane Sue, too, for being such a great supportive wife). Be safe!

What striking pictures! Those kids should be in a playground, not a war zone. Some of those kids are about the same age as my boy. I hope they grow up in a peaceful country. Thanks for sharing. Take care, Bill.

The kids look really happy. It is pretty cool to go to another country (so I have heard). Are you actually in the military or are you a contractor? My friends husband just came home from there. He is an Avionics Engineer.

If I thought just by the U.S. being in Iraq that it would change the extreme cultural attitudes that have been engrained in this area of the world I would feel more hopeful. If you feel you are doing some good that's all that matters. I just have a hard time justifying in my mind the death of U.S. soldiers who are also fathers and mothers leaving their children fatherless and motherless.

I feel like we are making the situation worse being over there. I hope to God I'm wrong.
