to commit and stick to a rotation? i seem to get through one week and then i do something different the following week. Do any of you have exercise ADD like me? I feel at times I don't see the results I want b/c i'm always bouncing around. I have the STS series but have yet to do my 1RMs or do even the 3 month rotation. In fact i haven't even gotten to meso 3 yet b/c i've been bouncing around with meso 1 and 2. Any tips to commit and stick it through besides just to do it LOL

I was never a rotation gal before STS, either. My plan would be something like - full body 3x a week w/ cardio on off days. Or splitsfor 3 weeks, cardio on off days. And pick the workout as I go. I never really stuck to a set rotation until STS, and once I got into it, I loved it. Because of the variety, I never got bored, and I was getting results. All I can say is "just do it" Try it, you'll like it. I promise! Now I stick w/ a set wt program for a specific time, but fill in my cardio as I go, bc that can depend on time constraints (I cardio in the morn) and what I feel like doing. I found scheduling ahead in the WM really helped me stick w/ the rotation other than filing it in just before or just after the workout.

Me too, I never stuck to a rotation before STS. I'm on the 3rd week of meso 2 and actually look forward to weight days for the first time ever. I thinks it's a combination of the variety and the results. Due to my lack of diet discipline my results may not be obvious to the outside world but I am lifting heavier with every workout and can feel the difference in my body. I dove into the three month rotation despite the fact that I had been slacking off on exercise in general for about two months. I have not missed a single workout since I started. The hardest part motivational wise was getting the 1RMs done.

I agree with Nan and Gabrielle. Before STS, I never could stick to a rotation. The most I could do is stick to the three days/week I went to the gym. On the other three or four days at home, I would do workouts but every time I tried a rotation, I gave up after a week or two. I completed the 3 1/2 month rotation of STS and loved every minute of it. Like Gabrielle said, I looked forward to the weight workouts the entire time. I am now trying to complete a CLX rotation. I am in week 2 and am struggling to stay interested.

For me, it was all about commitment and wanting to get fit. I would start and try to stick with it but I don't think I wanted it bad enough. I did not make exercise a priority.

I've only done well in the past 3 months because I wanted to lose weight more than anything and made time for the workouts and made it part of my daily life.

I'm lazy and ADD when it comes to working out. I'm doing well with STS but still have not found a cardio program I can stick to.

I never stuck to a rotation before P90X (though I ended up tweaking things a bit as I went along).

Maybe you need less structure and rigidity to be happy with your workouts? I would think STS would be easier to stick to than some rotations, because it's only a three-day-a-week commitment (with the other days filled with other workouts you choose to do--that's where the freedom comes in). Can you tell yourself that to help you stick to it?

If not, IMO, it's fine to use STS however you want, especially if you just want to be healthy and fit and have no specific goal.

I am terrible with rotations. I think I've only ever stuck to two or three all the way through. I didn't stick with CLX after 5 weeks. It's one of the reasons I don't have STS, although I think I could stick to doing just one meso and sometimes I consider getting meso 2.

I just like variety.

I'm with you. I have the same problem. I'll start off great then after a few days I'll miss one or two workouts, for whatever reason, and that throws the whole thing off. It happened to me with STS too.:( I've done better with my STS rotation than I have with any other. I have decided to skip Meso 3 this time around though since I want to focus more on fat loss right now rather than strength.

OMG! I thought I was the only one

I was just thinking this to myself today. I told myself I would finally commit to a workout so I started P90X about 6-7 weeks ago. I was determined and committed to my workouts and my eating. My boyfriend and co-workers noticed a difference. However, I started missing a day or two here and there and totally went off track with the workouts and my eating. I recently saw a rotation from Debbie for June and thought about doing that, but I will try to hop back on the horse with P90x and finish. I feel your frustration. I must say, I'm part of the ADD workout.
