Why I love this forum!

I just wanted to say that I have been coming here for almost a year now. Since discovering the forum, I find myself checking in once or twice a day. I read a lot of posts and comment and ask questions on here as well.

I love this forum because it has kept me motivated to stick with my workout goals, it has inspired me to eat better (although I still cannot bring myself to eat a veggie but short of hypnotism I don't think anything will, lol), it has made me laugh and it has made me feel like I am connected to regular people who live hectic lives (children, marriage, work, etc.) and have a common interest in health and fitness and balancing it all.

I have never achieved a fitness goal and then stuck with it for this long in my adult life. I feel that I would never have achieved as much as I have (losing the baby weight, running a 5k, using a barbell) if it weren't for you ladies and gents on this forum (old-timers, newbies, what have you). So thank you!

Now hopefully it will not rain today (on Long Island it has rained for 18 of the 22 days of June so far), and I can put on my bathing suit and put my bod that I have worked so hard for in the pool ;)

Have a good one!

I agree. I lurked for many years before formally joining this forum. I give a huge credit to everyone here for keeping me motivated in doing my workouts 6 days a week at 4:30 a.m. Other than this forum no one I know can even comprehend waking up at 4:30 a.m. nonetheless to do a workout. Thanks all!!!

I must say, a very big DITTO to the above! Although I have only been a member here since February, I have gotten so much motivation, information, knowledge, and laughs from everyone here! I never would have started trying to run or found Cardio Coach EVER without the people here!

I haven't reached my goal yet, but it is in sight! I'm thrilled to be here and am glad for the openness and friendliness of all I have met!

A huge resounding Thank You!

Tricia

P.S. jnka825 - We have been in the same "boat" as you here in RI! I too would love for it to be warm and sunny so I can get out in the water looking slender! (Not quite to muscular yet!)

Agreed! It's good to see such a positive thread. So I'll add my experience. I have been working out for years and years, but after an ankle injury, I just had trouble getting back on the wagon for more then a week to maybe a month before falling off for a couple weeks or more.

Between STS and the encouragement from the forum when I came back (with a new user name), I am back at it!!

And Bump! I'm starting to feel like I'm stalking Liann

Isn't it nice to hear good things once in awhile?! :) Hope you have a good Friday eve too!

I agree with all of the above as well! This forum is a great place to particpate and find all kinds of interesting information. Now, my pocketbook has suffered but thanks to this forum, I have discovered iTrain, Cardio Coach, Amy Bento, Tracey Staehle, kettlebells...and have bought ALL of Cathe's DVDs!! I have made exercise a "habit" and I love it...so a HUGE thanks to all of you great ladies and gentleman.

Carrie

P.S. I have also found a group that likes General Hospital. I now don't have to bore my husband with all of the plot details...so he thanks you too!

Me too...

and is why I am still sitting here at 9:03 PST having not broken a sweat yet today! Must log off - and run! (I was going to say turn on Sean, but uh, I thought it sounded a bit provactive. lol.:D:D:D)

This forum has helped me in so many ways... Coach Sean, motivation, inspiration, ideas....immediate help in a crisis. I would not have been able to call my family with my percocet/vicodin wisdom teeth dilemma and received immediate useful information!!!

ok - I really am logging off now. really.

ITA. Such a motivating and encouraging group. I recently joined and have learned so much, so THANKS to everyone.:D

I've made wonderful, supportive friends here and I'm very grateful for that. Some are far away, but some are quite close by, so I get to interact with them both online and in person. It's been very helpful to me lately.
