Don't hate me because I'm an anal retentive cleaner and organizer!!!!!!! Besides exercise, cleaning is my stress relief!!!
I have a clutter free house and I do clean everyday. My DH travels a lot and i have 2 little boys. So they know the system. A place for everything and everything in it's place.
DO NOT WORRY- I am saving for the team of Belgium Psychiatrists they will need when they get older.

I sure do. The day after the place is scrubbed top to bottom the house is a mess. It's always well organized, but it never seems 100% clean. I blame the dogs.
I don't know how people w/children do it. I really don't.
Having been a child once upon a time I can tell you that people with children don't do it or they beat the children into submission and turn the little darlings into mad cleaning machines. My mother was the former but my aunt Peggy was the latter. Mom has a less than perfect home. Dust is a way of life. Aunt Peggy could terrify dust into not settling at all.

OMG you guys I am so glad I am not the only one! Cleaning is just such a bore. I used to be more anal retentive about it but that was yeeeeearrs ago. These days there are just so many other more interesting things I want to do with my time!! As I said earlier, we do spruce up once a week or so but I always do it with a grumpy look on my face.
I'll admit that sometimes I go to other people's houses and think wow! Martha Stewart AND Williams-Sonoma BOTH must live here! Meanwhile, I've considered buying more appliances just to cover all the stains on my kitchen counter....

My house isn't the cleanest most of the time, but I do like to have it cleared (counters, desk, couch, floor) and cleaned through out the week, otherwise I would go wacky!! We have a small house and two cats and two little girls, plus people coming over all the time who have 4+ children that compound the problem!!! I usually don't clean until our guests and visitors leave, because once one or two children enter the back door, the house is a mess of sand, grass, water from the pool, food etc....and no one would notice if it were cleaned to begin with

I hear ya! I vaccum at least 2x/week but can't seem to keep up. one DH 2 DD and one DS 2 dogs 2 cats live on a farm always seems to be hay or grass floating around the house. and forget it when you first cut the grass...
