Why do I love Insanity?

This may sound strange, but while actually doing the workout, I find Insanity a mixture of absolute Murder, and AWESOME fun. But the pain in my body parts (muscles burn!!) is so intense, I always think 'why am I doing this again?' and then, as soon as I've finished, I think 'I LOVE those workouts!'

It really is strange, how such pain can be translated, an hour or two later, into sheer pride and adoration!
I do have a few questions though... I am getting sooo much better than I was, I am so proud. However, can anyone yet do:
Everysingle power push up as fast as they do it? I can do them without rests, but nowehere near the rights speed!
The ab push ups... I find them really hard, I can get my elbows slightly bent, but never fully.

Are there any moves that you still struggle with? (although, struggle at the beginning meant a different thing than it does now, I'm pleased to say :D)

Insanity

Hi,
I just wanted to say that your first paragraph could have been written by me! I feel exactly the SAME way! Gotta love the workouts though!

I think the reason why I love Insanity so much is because it is ridiculously INSANE and the sense of accomplishment after completing the workouts is awesome. I just started back to these workouts (Today as a matter of fact) after a few months off and I just completed Max Interval Plyo. I was able to keep up with the power pushups until the last 10 seconds of the last round and I had to slow down!!
I am with you on the burning pain. I really had to push through my thighs screaming at me but I know I will be grateful for thinner thighs when summer comes!!

I can't wait to start Insanity! I bought it last month, but am putting it on hold until I finish my current round of STS (on Meso 3, almost done).

i found the ski abs hard. i completed the 2 months feeling very accomplished but after doing it again after sts i had to start from the beginning! i could not do it all. since i like insanity more than sts i will probably not do sts anymore.

I have to say I totally agree with the first post on this, Ditto!!!
I'm in week 4 of Insanity rotation and its so intense you think OMG what am I doing this warm up is kicking my butt and we're just getting started. Then I get into the workout more and its so much fun and I enjoy the intensity of it and its fast, it seems like I'm just dreading the warm up and not too much later I'm in the cool down stretch. The time flies! I think that Insane cardio abs so far is the toughest abs workout bar none! Oh man do you ever use your abs in literally every workout. Its da bomb!

I love that feeling of triumph and victory that I made it through to the cool down and stretch. Each workout I do I feel like I just won a medal or something its so uplifting to conquer each workout thinking I can't survive this and then amazingly you do! Its a huge confidence builder as well as a fitness builder. I love it and recommend it, and its also great to integrate into any fitness dvd library and rotation for a great cardio burn.
But then again we are Insane catheletes.;):)

Nora, I totally aggree about the warm up comment. for some reason, it's much easier to push through the MURDER that is the actual workout, but the warm ups just make me want to go 'I can't be bothered today!!! *whinge* however, I have never before ENJOYED stretches so much, and the warm ups truly do that, warm you up!

I found the ski abs hard, simply from a shoulder endurance point of view. I find the same with in/out jumps.. I can do it cardio vascularly, but my shoulders just BURN and make me want to give up ;)

But you're all right, we do it because we're insane :)

Just another thought, anyone else hate power jumps as much as me??!!

I just started Insanity -- I'm on day 3 and I love it.

The power push up combo was a killer and I was hardly as fast as they were, but I did do it and felt very proud because of it.

I'm so happy I bought Insanity. I feel insane while I'm trying to keep up but so incredibly happy when I've completed it!! I look forward to getting better at it as I make my way through the 60 days!! :)
