Why didn't I think of this before? (feet on step)

I've done so many weights videos now, lying on my step with my feet on the floor. I would have loved to place them on the step instead, but I'm too tall. But I just realized I can put the blue part of my Fanny Lifter under my feet as an extension of my step. Duh! Where was my brain this whole time? But cool.

Gisela! Great idea! I 'll have to share this with my DH. He does Cathe videos with me and always raises his knees up in the air as it makes his back arch putting them down. Thanks!

I wish I had the new-fangled Fanny Lifter so I could do this. I have the old fashioned wooden one, so this doesn't work for me, but I still prop my feet up on a couple of spare risers.

I was hesitant to embarrass myself by admitting I'd never thought of propping my feet on something, but I'm glad I helped someone! (Debbie's DH)

Amy--prowl those thrift stores! I got my Fanny Lifter at Salvation Army for five dollars, AND a couple days ago I found the Super Stepper Bench (the step in Slow & Heavy, PUB/PLB) at another thrift store for FIVE DOLLARS! I also found a great pair of adjustable Reebok ankle weights at Goodwill, for super cheap...

Oh, not to mention my 12 pound dumbbells, also Goodwill...two dollars each, I think.

I'm still on the lookout for a High Step (who knows?) and extra Step Risers (in case I find that High Step top ;) )

Thanks for the tip, Gisela! I think that DH would disown me if I brought more equipment into the house right now!!! Heck, for that matter, I could use my High Step to prop my feet up on now! DUH!!! (smacking own forehead!!)

gisela,

I am so jealous of your thrift store finds! I am inspired to comb through my local Salvation Army, I pass by it on the way to work every day. you never know, right?

Sally

Sally--no, you never know! If you've got a minute, drop in and take a look!

I should add--I found the dumbbells and ankle weights with the sports stuff, but the Fanny Lifter was sitting out closer to the furniture. Previously, I had passed up a $10 Fanny Lifter at Goodwill--that one was also not with sports stuff. I think it may have been with plastic bins or other plastic step stools or something. Obviously the employees didn't recognize that it was a fitness product.

The super step I just found was also hanging around with furniture, if I remember correctly. I was just standing around with my kids in the stroller, waiting for an employee to help me with the store elevator, when I spotted it. The bench was upside down, and the four risers were kind of scattered nearby.

Basically, keep out a quick, sharp eye. And then get out of there before all the junk depresses you!
