RE: Why can't I meet people like all of you in my daily...
Hi Arancini. So you didn't like the saccharine you received in NC? Hmmmm, I wouldn't mind a bit of that right now to contrast what I'm getting, lol. I visited NC a few years back for a couple of weeks and really enjoyed the friendliness. One thing that stood out was that the cashiers greeted you with a smile on their face and actually told you how much you owed instead of just standing there and expecting you to look at the total and just pay them. That really irks me. I'm glad you are developing a circle of quality people. I know it takes time. Enjoy your new friends.
Sally, I guess I'm considered an ambivert. I'm sometimes quite outgoing and other times more reserved. I think it depends on the crowd. Often, if I'm at a party or group event, there are people that tend to dominate conversations and when that happens, I keep more to myself. I don't want to have to compete with someone for conversation.
Dorothyrd, I truly am happy that you have many good people in your life. It is a gift.
Jen, I go to lectures and continuing ed. classes and at least I'm meeting people with common interests and they are nice but anything beyond that hasn't really happened. Exposure is the key, which I know, but it just can be frustrating, however, I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing because I know they're not going to come knocking at my door. Hmmmm, wait a minute. I haven't done the billboard thing yet!
Susan, I'm also happy for you that you have found true friends. I believe that we have various friends for different aspects of our personalities. I have only one friend interested in fitness but that friendship is waning.
Thanks again everyone. You are all very special to me! ((((( )))))
