I lucked out & have no kids coming Monday so that gives me a 3 DAY WEEKEND!!! YEAH!! Plus the weather here in New York is going to be Great!! 70's, sunny & clear all 3 days!

Tami-we have a 4 day weekend. Kids have no school Monday and Tuesday. Not sure what we'll do, but I'm thinking one day at the local amusement park before they close the roller coasters for the season, one day at the racquetball club (taught them to play last month and they LOVE it), and I'm also thinking one day trip to NYC! The 4th day? Yeah...I'll be tired and vegging out on the couch with a good book! LOL

No 3-day weekend here. God forbid the company I work for actually gives us a day off.
I swear, the weatherman on this morning's news just had to rub it in too when he started the forcast by saying "it's gonna be a GREAT start to the three day weekend!"...
It took all I had to keep myself from throwing the damn tv out the window.
I think I need a vacation....

Sounds like alot of fun Gayle!! Sorry Allison that you have to work. One of the women I do daycare for works for a company that gives them a "flex day" every month. How nice that would be!!!

But my kids go to school until 11:30 today and have to go to school on Monday. They started school a week late due to problems getting the new air conditioning installed at school so they cut out Columbus Day, 2 days of Christmas break, and a couple other days throughout the year!

Blue sounds nice Laura. I must say I HATE to paint. I'm not very good at it so my DH usually does it. Of course then I get stuck with the grunt work.

Oh me too me too! After I painted my basement, which is wood paneled & boy it was SO FREAKIN HARD painting all those grooves, I swore I'd never do it again. But I can't afford to hire someone & I cannot take that yellow anymore, so I'm biting the bullet. It's a small room--maybe 10 X 12, so hopefully it won't take too long.

4 day weekend here. today and monday are teacher workdays so nobody teachers are at school. just stinks that we get no pay for this but we didn't ask to be off. not sure what to do. some point today have to get the car's oil changed,make a phone call, and make a run to the grocery store. well at least i have a phone call to make and MAYBE get the oil changed tomorrow LOL.

Not me :-(. Actually I haven't had a day off in a week and a half and it doesn't look likt Ill be getting one till MAYBE the 19th... BOO!!

Don't hate me because my vacation is beautiful!
I would normally have a 3-day weekend on account of I'm a federal employee, but I've decided life is too short to put up with some of the poopoo-caca I've had to deal with lately, so I took a massive amount of annual leave and comp time, and don't have to go back to work until the 20th!
And I gotta tell ya, it's WON-derful! I've spent the past week in gorgeous 75 degree weather digging in the garden, and my most pressing decision is where I should plant the rose bush. Then, tomorrow is a 'girl's day' with my sister, Sunday I plan on being a slug on the couch watching old movies, and then next week is anyone's guess.
Seriously, this is the best therapy in the world. Girls, take some time off. Relax. Have a margarita. (oops, just did a couple hours ago!!) Get a pedicure. Take it easy for a while.

I do, but it's not the same as the official one.
Our university cancels classes today (mid-term break), but we have class on Monday.
(Though I wouldn't really call it a 'day off,' just a 'day off teaching,' since I'm in my office working on class prep for Monday and prep for a conference I'm presenting at).
