Whoo hoo. I'm back.

My right shoulder is still messed up but my physical therapist has given me the go-ahead to return (cautiously) to weight training - and I started today. I did Cathe's Hardcore Series Back/Shoulders/Biceps. I used ridiculously light weight when working my shoulders and the lightest band I had (I'm sure the wrong band was how I got injured in the first place) and a limited range of motion but it still felt great. I haven't done anything (including cardio) in about three months. Tomorrow, it's the treadmill. I'm really excited to see what will result from my return to weight training/cardio along with my newfound efforts towards clean eating. And I'll REALLY be excited when I can bump up my efforts after the holidays are past and my shoulder is completely healed.

Still, it's just great to be back. When I first lost all the weight and started looking good I felt like a real inspiration to my co-workers. But when I got injured, fell off the (fitness) wagon and started gaining back the weight I could FEEL the concern. Hopefully, I can continue on with my progress now and we can all relax. I was really starting to feel like I was letting some people down, especially me. Especially when I couldn't get my pants up... Let's hope all that's in the past now.

Congrats on being ok's to start weight training again! Shoulder injuries can be pesky things. I've been dealing with one since Sept -- will be having surgery on it later this week. I'm looking forward to it eventually being healed and being ok'd to start upper body weight training again too. I"ve been able to continue with modified cardio and lower body weights and that's been helpful. Good luck to you! Deb
