My right shoulder is still messed up but my physical therapist has given me the go-ahead to return (cautiously) to weight training - and I started today. I did Cathe's Hardcore Series Back/Shoulders/Biceps. I used ridiculously light weight when working my shoulders and the lightest band I had (I'm sure the wrong band was how I got injured in the first place) and a limited range of motion but it still felt great. I haven't done anything (including cardio) in about three months. Tomorrow, it's the treadmill. I'm really excited to see what will result from my return to weight training/cardio along with my newfound efforts towards clean eating. And I'll REALLY be excited when I can bump up my efforts after the holidays are past and my shoulder is completely healed.
Still, it's just great to be back. When I first lost all the weight and started looking good I felt like a real inspiration to my co-workers. But when I got injured, fell off the (fitness) wagon and started gaining back the weight I could FEEL the concern. Hopefully, I can continue on with my progress now and we can all relax. I was really starting to feel like I was letting some people down, especially me. Especially when I couldn't get my pants up... Let's hope all that's in the past now.
