Who cares - MARCHing on!

A 10 mile bike ride. I'm wiped out from it, but man it feels good getting out! PT today too, had a new exercise, a big platform swing where you stand and balance, then tilt front/back then side/side. I can tell how weak my left ankle I'd! It's a similar motion as a wobble board. Jody, good to hear from you! I hate traffic and bicycling, so I go to the paths as much as possible and not during any rush hour! Suki looks like the typical Japanese dog you'd see standing with its rear feet on the back of the seat and front on your shoulders (anyone seen that on TV?) Suki is harnessed down in her basket but she likes to stand up in it to get better views. Ronne, I didn't know you were on a yoga plan. How many days a week is yoga? I'm embracing less weights and mostly bike. Will be interesting to see if any body changes. Murphy, hopefully the something made you feel better! Ankle seems to be progressing slowly. Wednesday I'll get dry needling done (that should be interesting). Roxie, my calorie burn seems to be same on bike as my walks but boy it feels harder. I'm going with that I'm really burning more than the fitbit is saying . Mary seems to be having a great time in Disney. And I didn't see Jody photo bombing any of her pictures!

Hi everyone

Lisa - good ride! I'm on about three sessions a week then I add in a couple of cardio or a metabolic workout.

Roxie - glad you're healing

Murphy - I'm not sure, I think it's a year of wearing it at night.

Working hard again, trying to get stuff done before the long weekend.
Did X10 Cardio Blast and Weights & Plates Abs. I love X10, gets things done so quickly!

Ronne, I'd recommend her wearing it as long as she has it. I wore mine until I lost it (so probably 3 yrs). My DS has a permanent retainer on his bottom teeth. Orthodontist said no need to take out (ortho still had his). I wish I had received a bottom retainer because my lower teeth shifted a lot after I got my braces off.
Planning same bike ride as yesterday, before the snow comes. And my home PT.

HI all. Did ICE UB today. I upped the weight to 6lbs. 6lbs felt good.

Roxie - glad to hear you are healing.
Ronne - I went onto your yoga site. I am liking it. Thanks.

Waves to all.
Murphy

Did a boot camp premix of the ICE series. I am going to add in the blasts and meltdowns next week.

Lisa - what is dry needling? The new exercise sounds interesting.

Waves to all.

Hi all

Lisa - we went yesterday, she's got to wear it everyday for the next two weeks, then every night for the next two years. Then twice a week at nights for the rest of her life ...

Murphy - glad you like the website, hope you find some good stuff.

Yoga for me today - focusing on improving backbending, pretty challenging.
Out for dinner with friend I haven't seen since before Christmas tonight. Looking forward to catching up.

Blizzard here today. PT was canceled so dry needling will have to wait until next Wed. This will be a good test to see if I can cut down PT to 1 time a week. I did do XT Bi/tri and Mop-max.....ah, my floors are finally clean! I feel like Mary! Murphy, dry needling is similar to acupuncture. It uses same needles except instead of following meridians the needles are just put in the muscle to elicit a healing response. Make sure you modify if needed (I'm sure you will), heck I think probably most of us always modify now a days. Ronne, I would still be wearing mine if I hadn't lost it....in my sleep! I worked midnight shift and would forget to put it in so when I did it would be tight, well, one day I woke up and couldn't find it, still have no idea what I did with it!

Hope everyone had a nice Easter! Had a bit of snow melt so DH and I rode bikes. 6 miles yesterday and 7 today. Today though was thru mud and snow so HR got higher than it ever has even when spinning. One more day until more snow!

Hi girls! We are home! Today did Thursday's Cathe live, lots of walking in Disney, anywhere from 7-15 miles per day, feet, legs and hips were tired! We had such a nice time, so fun to see the kids marching to Cinderellas castle, and just fun being with the kids. Hope everyone is well, have to read and catch up on everyone. Have to finish up the wash, back to work tomorrow, see you on Wednesday! Mary

Good Evening,

Stretchmax for me today. We had snow yesterday but it didn't last very long.

Lisa-keep your snow to yourself

Mary-glad you had fun

HI all. More ICE today, to the mat legs. I was going to start adding the meltdowns but then my shoulder started hurting. I plan to add the chest and whatever other meltdown there is, but no shoulders. :-(

Lisa - still snowing?
Ronne - stretchmax sounds like a good idea, I have to pull that one out.
Mary - glad you had fun. Any suggestions on things to do or things to avoid?

Murphy

Hi everyone! Days have been getting away from me, so, here's what I've done. Tuesday a 12.5 mile bike ride, Wed- RWH CST and a 1.5 mile WALK! I can WALK! Today- RWH BSB. My Fankle (foot/ankle) is feeling pretty good, now just dull ache in outside bottom of foot (just like when it all started...so this time I WILL NOT push thru the pain (as little as it is)) PT said it's the tendons, we did dry needling on the muscle belly of the peroneal tendon (back/side of calf), will see if it releases and eases up the pull on the tendon where I feel the pain. The research I've done seems like it will be beneficial, depending on results I may look into it for my neck....I continually have built up tension there. My quads are sore from pushing thru the mud bike ride monday! Mary, it looks like you had a great time....so nice to spend that time with the kids before they go off to college! Murphy, as a matter of fact it is snowing as I type! I need the rest from biking and even walking so it's ok....this time! I'm only able to do half the weight (sometimes a bit more, depends ) that Cathe does, I'm just learning it's ok and listen to my body NOW, not how it used to be. Still hard to feel like you're doing anything with 5 lb weights when everyone else is using 10. I workout to keep muscle as much as possible as I age, so I figure 5 is better than nothing. Roxie, it's looking like April will be starting off with nice weather here, hope it's a omen! Ronne, having fun? Do I remember DD being on holiday?

Hi all! Sorry to have been MIA, have been working and the kids have kept me running. I have been working out tho. Today did a Cathe live. How is everyone doing? I hope all is well with everyone. We had thunder snow last night! Kind of fun! Have to go run with the kids! Good day to all! Mary
