My all time favorite has to be George Costanza from Seinfeld. Come to think of it, the entire Costanza clan is over the top.
Ted Baxter and Lou Grant from Mary Tyler Moore, Larry, Darryl and Darryl from the Bob Newhart show. Norton from the Honeymooners. Agnes DePesto from Moonlighting.
