hi! I am new to this whole thing but here it goes--- I am new to Cathe. I had her high step challenge but it was to easy so I got her Cardio and Weights. I love it but now I want to change my workout. I'd like to do 2 days of cardio, so I bought Imax 2, and 2 days of weights. that is where I am stuck. I bought muscle endurance and now I think that it may be to hard. I haven't tried it yet, just came to that conclusion from the postings. Any recommendations? should I have gotten power hour instead?or something else? On cardio and weights I use 8 lbs and 12lbs. and it is challenging. I think muscle endurance may be to big a jump. Any thoughts? Help!! Thanks:)

I think you should give Muscle Endurance a try. Just use lighter weights than Cathe does. Muscle Endurance is a very good workout. Do you have a barbell? Also IMO the Power Hour DVD would be good for you as it has 3 different weight workouts and a step workout. Very good variety....hope this helps some...:)...Carole

Thanks! I will try it. What is IMO the Power Hour DVD? I looked on the web site but did not see it. Thanks again, Deanie:)

You have Power Hour in the dvd that contains three muscle conditioning workouts : Power Hour plus Maximun Intensity Strength and Body Max.

Sorry Deanie...IMO is just short for In My Opinion...:)...Carole

I am a Gym Style junkie: GS Chest & Tris; GS Back, Biceps, & Shoulders: & GS Legs. I'd get those, do each one once per week (start with the premixes and work your way up to the full DVD - and keep your weight light and don't be shy about taking rests when necessary), and do cardio 2-3 times per week.

But that's just me.

Power Hour is a good all-over weight training workout, but if it were me, I'd want to focus my weight training on individual body parts instead of doing all-over weight training. I get a much better workout that way.

Oh, and don't forget your core (abs)!! Doing ab work twice a week is a good start. Power Hour has a good ab workout, too. But I recommend the Ab Hits DVD for more diversity.

That sounds interesting- I always thought you needed to work out your muscles more than once a week- you know- you go to the gym and they always have you do all body 3X a week. So I felt weird just going to weights 2X:)
