Which DVD to choose!?!

I can't hardly wait to purchase a Cathe DVD, but I am not sure what one to purchase - I currently run, do FIRM videos, train/ride horses, bike, walk, hike, etc. I am limited on time, but love watching her on fit TV so I decided it was time to get a DVD! But then I was TOTALLY confused on which one I should get! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

First of all, watch the dvd clips. They will help you. Second are you looking for cardio, ciruit, or straight forward weight lifting? Then, do you prefer total body or splits?

fitness goals

Hi Suzette,

What are your fitness goals? Knowing this will aid in the selection of the DVD that would be most appropriate for your goals.

My main interest is to try and get leaner and stronger. I really like circuit, cardio with weights mixed in. I am not yet sure whether I would like a total weight one though. I think I would like total body. I really have only worked out at the gym or worked out to an old FIRM video I have had for years. I just love it and I love feeling like I really worked and I def notice that I am become leaner and stronger from this old tape, so I know that I would just love getting a Cathe DVD. Thanks for your help!

If you like circuit and really want a challenge, I say go for Bootcamp- it also includes Muscle Endurance on the DVD, so you get two workouts. Bootcamp is in minutes- one minute of cardio, one minute of strength, one minute of abs. I think there are 8 circuits- it is really tough but a terrific workout. Muscle Endurance is an hour long strength building/muscle endurance workout that I just did this morning. It's great too and would give you two different Cathe workouts to try.

BC is a great suggestion. I also suggest (since you do the firm) HSTA or HSC. They are circuit style A&W training that I find similar to the firm, but more intense;)

4 day Split

HI

I would also suggest Cathe's 4 Day Split. It contains 4 cardio workouts and weight work for the entire body. There are numerous ways that this workout can be utilized. In my opinion the stand alone workouts are good and 4 day Split also has many good premixes. Below are the premixes:

Kickbox + Boot Camp DVD Premixes:
. Boot Camp Cardio Only
2. Kickbox Cardio Only
3. Lower Body Weights
4. Total Body Weights
5. Boot Camp Weights First
6. Kickbox Weights First
7. Boot camp and Upper Body
8. Kickbox and Upper Body
9. Cardio Power
10. Boot Camp Circuit Upper Body
11. Boot Camp Circuit Lower Body

Lower Intensity Step + Higher Intensity Step DVD Premixes:

1. Lower Intensity Step Cardio Only
2. Higher Intensity Step Cardio Only
3. All Upper Body weights
4. Lower Intensity Step and All Upper Body
5. Higher Intensity Step and All Upper Body
6. Lower Intensity Step Weights First
7. Higher Intensity Step Weights First
8. Double Cardio
9. Back & Biceps
10. Chest, Shoulders & Triceps
11. Low Impact Circuit
12. Higher Intensity Circuit

I was going to suggest 4 Day Split also since it offers so much variety. You can cover any type of WO IMO.

My sister is also just getting introduced to Cathe & this is the one I suggested to her for a starter.

Whatever you buy, brace yourself - she's addicting!! ;)

Wow! Thanks so much for the help! I can't wait to order and workout. I am really excited to get started. I have always worked out, but now as I am aging I feel like I want to be really lean and strong - to help keep me from getting hurt with my horses, etc - and so I can keep up with my granddaughter.. I have degenerative disk disease in my neck and lower back and I have noticed since I started doing the FIRM that they do not bother me as much anymore - I believe from having a stronger core - my VERYU weak area. I have been doing the FIRM now for about 3 months and just love it! and the results!! so I am really anxious to see the results from this! Thanks again!

Opps!!! I am so new to Cathe videos that I am not sure what the initials stand for - such as HSTA, HSC. Thanks!

VIEWED SOME OF THE VIDEO CLIPS..

I just viewed a bunch of the video clips and now I am REALLY confused. All I know is that I my goal is to be leaner and stronger and yesterday when I was reviewing some of the clips one specifically said that it was originally designed to help you become leaner - now I can't figure out which one it was. Phew....I just want to order one and get started...
