should I get, I am interested in upping my cardio (I think I am at the intermediate level??) which Cathe DVD should I get the one with Rhythmin step, Imax, and MIC or the cardio hits DVD??? I am new to cathe cardio...have used mostly Firm in the past, I would like a challenging/but not discouraging cardio workout which of these would you recommend and why or why wouldn'tyou recommend them (ok, really I am not trying to make this sound like an essay question;))!

Any advice would be appreciated, as I got a small tax return and would like to use it towards a DVD and a barbell and get the most for my money!

I'd recommend Cardio Hits. PowerMax was one of my first Cathe step routines and I caught on pretty quickly, same with Step Fit. Step Works some say is a little trickier choreography wise but I didnt really think so. Step Works in my opinion is one of Cathe's most intense step routines. Also, Cardio Hits gives you a bonus ab routine so you can get a glimpse of her ab workouts. (The ab routine on Cardio Hits is a moderate intensity ab workout from Cathe). That being said, the other DVD also has some pro's and cons. Rhythmic Step has some fun choreography, but it really frustrated me at first because Cathe doesnt really break down any of the moves, she assumes you're familiar with her routine already. MIC has both a great hi/lo and step routine which I feel are both relatively easy to catch on to. And, Interval Max is a super intense workout that has basic choreography. Ive been doing Cathe cardio for about 2 years now and have yet to complete this tape without many modifications...definitely one to grow into to! So Cardio Hits offers some good learn-Cathe step routines and an ab workout. While the other DVD offers more cardio variety, but trickier choreography in Rhythmic Step, and there's no bonus ab section. Confused now??? Hope this helps though!!

I second Cardio Hits DVD. However if you have NEVER done stepping before, you might want to try some intermediate step routines. You have to get used to simple 'step talk', i.e. triples, round-the-world, step-knee to name a few. I heard the Wedding Video is a good introduction (sorry, not a DVD!).

Stacy- Thanks so much! Your reply was very helpful, just the answer I was looking for...I just wish I could get both DVD's one for now and one to grow into...ok, patience is not one of my strong points, when I want something I want it NOW!!! But I must budget!!!...looks like I show veer toward cardio hits...

Haslina- Thank you also for your reply! I have done stepping before, just not so much with Cathe, I do understand most of the terminology...but have heard some of her moves are rather complicated...I do have her Wedding vid (thanks to reco's from this forum) and caught onto most of those moves rather quickly...thanks for your help!
