Where should I start if I want to have a body like you?

Hello Cathe
I am a new member here. I just watch your work out on the T.V and all I can say is you are unbelievable! I love your body and I want to have a body like you. I am an Asian girl with skinny body type. I usually work out run on the treadmill and use bowflex 3 times a week. I want to keep my body skinny like this but need to make my lower ab flatter and get more definition on my stomach. I would like to know what I have to do to get flat ab with nice stomach like you? and how long it take to see result?

Alot of people on this forum will tell you that diet is the key along with exercise to get that flat stomach.
 
genetics are also extremely important, especially with abs - some people can get a six-pack fairly easily, others will never have it regardless of their conditioning - work on achieving your own best body, not someone else's - Cathe's structure is not not like yours so you really shouldn't compare yourself to her - use her for inspiration certainly, but work with what YOU have - good luck!
 
Funny - I was honestly just thinking this morning - I guess I'm never going to have a mid-section like Cathe! I've been working out for ten years with her, and yes, eating habits are hugely important.

However, there is life..and it always seems to get in the way here and there. Not complaining, just a fact. I was "on a roll" at slimming down in Dec/Jan/Feb., went on a cruise/vacation and have just gotten over a doozie of a cold. I've gained 3 lbs. back and feel like March was a total bomb. Ugh!

So, I agree, Cathe has great abs, physique and she works for it:eek: She inspires me to be the best I can be and to always challenge myself.

I am sure Cathe will give you the best advise here is my input.

I am also an Asian and I have been working out Cathe for many many years. Typically, for female Asian, we are lacking muscles but lots of skinny fat. My body responded the best when I do weights. I usally alternate between heavy lifting for each body part and end with circuit, total body workout at my last day of weekly workout. I do cardio in between them. We do not build muscle easily but if you stay consistant, you will achive firm,strong and lean body with the flat abs that everyone will envy. As for selecting Cath's workout, look into STS, Gym styles, Slow and Heavy for heavy weight workout and do not be concern getting bulky. I have been doing weights more than 10 years and more I lift, skinner and firmer I get. Don't forget to add Circuit workout. I only add two cardio a week. That is all I need. Good luck.
