Where do I buy a barbell?

I did STS all the way thru w/ dumbbells, but I know I will have better results w/ a barbell.

Anybody know where to get one like the one they use in the DVD's?

from what i've heard cathe uses a troy lite barbell. it weights only 5 lbs (i think). google it and you'll probably find some websites that sell it. i think not to long ago someone mentioned on this site where they purchased it.

Thank you for the website. Which bar did you purchase? Was it one of the aerobic weight bars? The photo on the website makes it look like they have varying diameters not made for plates. I have 1" plates - I've been seeing a lot more of the larger 2" bars and plates being used.

one of the best sources for weights, plates and barbells is Play It Again Sports. they buy and sell used sports equipment. i always get my weights there. another great alternative is craigs list.

I bought troy lite. Its the same one as Cathe is using is STS. It works with 1" plates.

thanks for the input. I have bought all my dumbbells at Play it again Sports, but they didn't have a good selection of barbells at the one closest to me. I think I will check out the Troy Lite.
