Where can I start as a Beginner???

I am a beginner and do not know where to start with the Cathe videos. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have some background in weight training, kept in shape for most of my life with resistance training and running. I had a baby about 14 months ago, found out that my back had misaligned due to my pregnancy. My back is fine after seeing a chiro and some physical therapy. I can do all that I used to do, just need to strengthen my lower back some. I am ready to burn off the last of the baby weight. But mostly just want to get back in shape. Where is a good starting point? What videos are good for a beginner and how often and what manner should they be used? Thanks.

thats an easy one

If you like step, head over to the rotations (scroll down the page) and there is a sticky with Cathe's beginner's rotation. Welcome!

Here is the link that will take you right there...enjoy :)

I appreciate Cathe's repost of her 2006 "beginner's program" post

Cathe, I appreciate your re-post, above, of your 2006 recommendations for a beginner's program. I will be buying the "Low Impact Step+Total Body Sculpting" -- and use it -- since for some inexplicable reason I never bought it.

And Coraivej, congratulations in coming back to exercizing! Good luck at your intended program. From my non-expert point of view, getting onto shape will work wonders for your health. It has for me.

I found Cathe on Fit TV several years ago and started doing her workouts from there. If you have FitTV, you can watch her workouts and decide if you want any of them. The first of hers that I purchased were Muscle Endurance and Butts & Guts, and they are GREAT.

Have fun!!! Cathe has something for everyone, and even the more intense workouts can be modified for any fitness level!! :)

I haven't been back on here in a while. Thank you all for the suggestions and support and thank you Cathe for the Rotation link. I think it will work out great!

Although I definitely can't top Cathe's post, for me personally if I've been out of my exercise routine for a while and want to get started again, I always grab Cross Train Express. For me it's the ultimate confidence booster I need to get back into the REALLY intense stuff, plus it might be easier to fit in your schedule with the new baby. (I have a 13 month old, so I'm right there with ya!;))

Step, Jump, Pump

Hi -
I have tried a lot of Cathe's DVD's and sometimes the step choreography is a bit crazy for a beginner. I found that Step, Jump and Pump was a really great fat burner and the choreography was much easier to follow.

The HiLo blasts might kill you though, they almost do me.

Cathe Classic Vol. 1, Cardio Hits, the wedding tape. I also did these during my pregnancy. I also had back problems and did Cathe abs and back with lighter weights. Superman is a great lower back exercise.

Timea:)

I too feel like a beginner, I've been in school (nursing school) for the past 10 months plus with a family and a job, I've had NO time to work-out. I've gained 17 pounds in that 10 months and my shorts don't fit! I have rediscovered Cathe (I've missed her...) and have started again with the Low Impact Step, CTX series and some of her lighter weight videos like Muscle Endurance. You might also enjoy her Core Max DVD.
