What's your favorite premix??

OK, so I have fallen in love with premixes. I used to think it was cheating to do a premix instead of the entire Cathe workout, but amongst the crazy zoo that is my house, most of the times, I only have time for a premix. And, call it adult-onset ADD, but I'm really loving the quick pace and variety of the premixes. My favorites so far are:

Butts & Guts: Leg Blast (hurts SO good!) and the Kick Punch & Crunch/Legs & Glutes premixes that incorporate both workouts (FUN!)

What are your favorite premixes?

ITA Stephanie. Premixes are the best, and no fitness DVDs do them better than Cathe's.

Right now my favorites are the Total Body from DM and the Boot Camp Upper Body Circuit from 4DS. I did both of these recently and the time flew by! They were unexpectedly (is that a word?) fun!

Very fun topic Stephanie!

I love premixes too! My top 4 fav's, in no particular order:

KPC: Premix #3(?) 53 min.- Warm up + intermediate drills + combo 1 & combo 2 + the high intensity drills + stretch

LIC: Cardio only premix

CTX: Upper Body Split

And a combined premix of- Low Max: Blasts only premix + PUB: Up only premix. I do one cardio then one upper body part. It legs, cardio, and upper body all in one very challenging workout!:D

Oh, you are so right about the B&G premix-Ouchie!!:D

I love any of the cardio premixes combining step & hi/lo from SJP & Step Blast. The music during that hi/lo segment is so much fun and I crack up every time Cathe asks "How do we look from the backside?"

I always thought of it as cheating and because of that only started doing pre-mixes recently when I also discovered rotations. I wish I had known what I was missing! Since I really haven't done many I'm not sure my vote counts for much, but the favorite I have done so far is the 4DS BC upper Circuit. Unless you count the terminator and hardcore extremes as pre-mixes....

Fave Pre-Mix

Kick Max: Kickbox/Bootcamp Challenge.

4 Day Split: Double Cardio ( Lo-step/ High-Step )

Step Jump Pump: Step & Hi/Lo pre-mix. ( This one's just fun ! )

I LOVE the pre-mixes on pretty much all of Cathe's DVDs. Just a good way to mix things up a tad !

Fun Post,,,,thank you !!

I envy all you cardio junkies! I WISH I could do a double cardio premix! I also envy all you steppers!! I'm step-challenged.

I love Leg Blast B&G and the premixes from the Gym styles (chest and tris superset and back and biceps) these are shorter and super effective. Also love the Step Blast premixes and of course "Scrambled Eggs" from BM2 when I want hard cardio and to get my legs at the same time. I actually wish Cathe would make more workouts that combine leg work with cardio.

BM2 Boot Camp pre-mix. It my favorite 78 minute workout, I reach for it all the time. I also love the Lo Max Blasts Only pre-mix as an add on to Super Sets.

I love LIC circuit cardio pre-mix and BM2 cardio only.
The moves are fun and the music is uplifting! :)

CTX upper body is great too!

My word that's so funny ! You are so right. When I look at the work outs that I normally do, they really are geared at Cardio. Trust me though, that 4Ds step double cardio really gets tough toward the end of the highstep routine. Sometimes I have to stop and do the old 'hands on the knees' break. I can be step challenged too tough. I still do Lo-Max with just one riser, not two as in the DVD. We'll get there !! :p

It's been a while, but there is a premix that combines upper and lower body on the Pyramids DVD that I like a lot.

I also often do the KPC premixes when I need to save some time.

I love this topic. I never know what pre mixes to do unless Cathe has them in her monthly rotation. I'm going to write these down for future reference.
Hey Cathe? How about a premix only rotation for when the kids are out of school and time is really crazy? With some workouts from Shock Cardio mixed in? I love Shock Cardio.

The 26 min All Step premix from Step Jump and Pump - great for when I want a really fun extended warm-up before a weights session or just on its on for a quickie cardio on those really time-crunched days. Especially love the Kung Fu Fighting sequence - so much fun!

You probably already know this, but there is a Bodyblast Timesaver DVD that has a bunch of premixes from Step, Jump & Pump, Step Blast, Supersets, Kick Punch & Crunch and Legs & Glutes.

I also would LOVE a timesaver/premix DVD with Shock Cardio stuff on it! :)
