Mine, of course, is Marilyn Monroe. I love her because she reminds me that you can be the most beautiful person in the world, and yet still be troubled and lonely. In a strange way, I find it comforting.

Great avatar, Dania. Gotta love Marilyn... An employee where I used to work pasted a pic of Marilyn over her own pic on her employee badge.:D

My avatar is my sweet doggie, Casey, and he'll continue to be my avatar until I can find a picture of myself that I like! I take the world's worst pictures...

mine is marilyn monroe lifting weights. the thing is she was this beautiful size 12-14(like i am) who wasn't stick thin but considered one of the beautiful ppl. unlike today how skinny you are seems to be the more popular you are in the biz. plus she is working out so another point i like to make, just b/c you workout doesn't mean you have to be stick thin. i wish some ppl would understand that about exercise. curvy is healthy. i have another pic i got off another website

Mine is a picture of Mingus and Andi. They are cherry head conures that currently live at the oasis bird rescue sanctuary in southern AZ. They were featured in the movie 'The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill' that was recommended by a forum member right around the time I started posting. When I found out they were in AZ I went to an open house just to see them! DH and I were the only non parrot owning people there. I've thought about changing my avatar but it's almost like rebranding.

wow, kassia, I didn't even know that was MM on your avatar - I thought it was you!:p

I think she has one of THE most beautiful faces AND bodies ever. I loved that era when women were allowed to look like women. The whole stick figure thing puzzles me. I prefer strength to skinny.
Yes, I just love Marilyn too - she was beautiful, lost, childlike, troubled, and real - all things I can relate to (except for maybe the beautiful part:D)

Mine is a picture of me in front of Aricebo - the largest radio telescope in the world! I have alway wanted to go there and my DH was selected to present an economics paper there last March. It is my favorite place in the world (so far) tied with the Coliseum in Rome, which I have visited and just was in awe of! Being an astronomy buff, I guess Aricebo would have to just barely edge out the Coliseum.
 
My avatar is a pic of my beloved Blue Headed Pionus parrot named Kirbee who died suddenly two years ago from an avian disease. I miss her terribly especially when I come downstairs in the morning and don't hear her say " Good Morning Kirbee"

Mine is of my back after I completed my first round of P90X last year-the magic of pull ups:)

I love learning what everyone's pictures are and why they chose them. Fun post!
 
Three guesses....

Actually, I used to have a picture a fellow Cathelte took of me. She helped me get it on-line, since I'm such a computer idiot. Then I used the picture from the Who's Who book from the 2007 RT. Some funny business and some nastiness on the forums made me decide I really didn't want my picture here anymore. So now.....
 
Well, I switch it up a lot, but currently it's a baby doing a push-up. ;) I thought it was cute and funny enough the baby looks JUST like I did when I was little. Even the freaky little point hair do. Of course I wasn't doing one handed push-ups then or now!
 
That's me on the boat enjoying an afternoon on the lake with a couple of friends and a couple of pitcher of beer margaritas!! :D;):p Arriba Arriba!! ;)
