G' Morning Cathletes! What are your fitness plans today? I'm off for a run in the park before the rain hits...Then I teach Silver Sneakers...my favorite "kids" of the week :) Just love them!!!!
 
Good morning, Cathe! I started my day off with M2W1D15-Back & Biceps and STS Pilates-based Abs. Felt great! Now I'm at work trying to psyche myself up to do some work. :D Have a great day!

Your post yesterday had me think it was a great day for a double. :p So after M2W3 disc 21 in the morning, I did athletic step in the evening. So today I am just going to do some steady state cardio at the gym for lunch. I'm with upnorthchick and trying to focus on work in the meantime :eek:

I'm also going for a run...I think my legs will be talking to me after Meso1 leg work yesterday! You about did me in with all those paper plate slides!! The sun is shining here today unlike yesterday's rainy day. :cool: Enjoy your run and have fun with your "kids" today!

I got in a nice (early) run before work. What a beautiful morning!

Everyone's in a great mood here in Chicago... way to go Blackhawks!!! (sorry Philly fans... it was an intense series with 2 talented teams).

I started my day going to a 45 minute spinning class at 6:30 this morning. After work this evening I plan to do Circuit Blast from STS Cardio for the first time. I'm super excited about trying it out. I bought it when it was on special a couple weeks ago, but still have not done it, because I love the HiiT workouts so much that I can't stop doing them to allow an opportunity to try Circuit Blast.
 
This morning was Gym Styles Legs - girl, what the heck were you thinking of when you decided to do slow motion lunges? (I'm trying to put in a smilie icon after this, but the experience is still too fresh!) It's been a while since I had proper leg DOMS, but I think they're on my horizon!

Tonight is HiiT 30/30 with Janis. I'm a 30/30 virgin with severe step coordination issues, so this should be painful in a whole new and interesting way!

How was your sister's dance recital?

I am getting close to the end of a 3 month shock the body rotation, in which each month incorporates 1 week of full body endurance, 1 week of hypertrophy splits, 1 week kettlebells and 1 week strength splits. It's really given me an opportunity to use a lot of my workout DVDs, which has been great.

For my next 3 month rotation, I am leaning toward doing this:

week 1: Slow and Heavy positive
week 2: Slow and Heavy negative
week 3: Circuits
week 4: Slow and Heavy positive
week 5: Slow and Heavy negative
week 6: Kettlebells

Repeat once.

By negative and positive I mean that I would be doing the 6 count part of the movement on the negative or positive. Of course, I'm including cardio in the rotation as well.

I'd really love to get your opinion on this rotation. Are circuits and kettlebells a good counterpoint to Slow and Heavy, or would you suggest something else?

I posted on yesterday's thread. Anyhoody, I will be doing STS Boxing and then tonight is Yoga. I keep promising myself some yoga but by 8 pm I'm just worn out so tonight I"m doing it worn out or not. The rest of the day is video editing, chores (Kitchen patrol), and cooking: rosemary chicken breasts, blue potatoes and fresh organic peaches, yummo, hey you guys want to come over?:D

I did an upper body 1RM work out (1 exercise per body part), 20 mins of Insanity cardio, abs and some inner thigh work. Safe to say that I hit every muscle group today! :D

I'm trying out a Netflix DVD today: Rock Steady Step with Seasun Zieger. I'm positive it won't compare to your step videos, Cathe, but I am looking for a lighter workout today.

Well, right this minute I'm enjoying DOMS from yesterday's ATG squats. ;) At 5 this morning, I got out for a nice early morning 6 miler and then came back and did Core Max with the stability ball. I think I might just need Extended Stretch later today! :D

Tonight is a Cardio Coach on my stationary bike followed by CTX Back. Lovin' the weight work in CTX btw...

I love CTX! Are you doing a rotation of one body part per day combined with cardio? I used to combine 3 diff Cathe workouts doing just one body part and loved the variety of exercises.

Yes, I am doing a rotation of one body part per day combined with cardio. I've been using CTX only, doing the exercises twice through. I've never done one body part per day before and I am absolutely loving it!
 
A 430am run for me through the neighborhoods surrounding the club. Felt pretty good although the right heel is giving me fits.
