What were your 2010 workout dvd purchases?

Was just going over all of my workout DVD purchases this year, there has been some some really great stuff this year, Turbo Fire has been excellent, although I did burn myself out on it a bit by following the rotation, and this is my first year with Kelley Coffee-Meyer, I pre-ordered her 2 new ones and fell in love with the 30 minute workouts and her style in general, so ordered a few more. Have not been able to get into the Bob Harpers or Montenegro dvds at all, both are pretty boring. Just did Peak 10 Cardio Burn yesterday, very good workout with a unique format, the moves remind me a lot of turbo fire, but the way it's pieced together is new to me, and the hour went by really quickly, these were my first from her, and from what I'm hearing these are probably her best. I have a feeling the peak 10 strength is going to be hard, hopefully in a good way. Really looking forward mostly to High Reps and STS full body, I want some more new weight work outs to work in to my rotation.

So what did you buy this year?

This year's list:
Cathe's new dvds, Intensity, High Reps, and STS full body
Turbo Fire + Advanced DVD's
Michelle Dosois Peak 10 Cardio Burn and Cardio Strength
KCM Circuit Burn and LIFT
KCM Weights
KCM NYC
KCM Muscle Definition
Bob Harpers set of 4 dvds
Montenegro Method

I bought all 4 of Michele Crmichael's Fuel series---Soul, Flex, Met & Jet. I love these.

I also got Michael Olajide's Aerobarre and Aero Jump/Sculpt

I traded for all of Grace Lazenby's All the Right Moves--Fast Fusion, Extreme Fusion etc.

So far I am very happy with both purchases and the trade. Waiting on clips to order Cathe's because what I think I want keeps changing as the descriptions get posted.

I am waiting for plenty to be delivered:
Michelle Dozois Peak 10 - both the cardio and strength ones
Ilaria Atletica and Powerstrike 6
Michele Carmichael Jet Fuel
Will Power & Grace Mile High
Elle Make Better Yoga with Tara Stiles

Of these, I am most excited for Atletica and the Peak Tens. I never fancied Michelle Dozois until I saw the clips of these.

I bought a lot of wonderful yoga from Yoga Today and other sources, Cathe's MMA Boxing/Fusion and Travel Fit, Kelly Coffey Meyer's LIFT and Circuit Burn.

I love Kelly's 30 minute series and have them all. My favorite this year is LIFT with MMA Boxing coming in second. I liked all my purchases - this has been a good year for fitness choices.

I don't plan to buy any more this year apart from Hi Reps.

ETA: Was CKBC in this year? I got that too. Great workout.

2010 was a good year! I didn't buy ANY!!!

I did, however, buy a Push Pull tower, running shoes, running apparel, 2 heart rate monitors, more weights, custom orthotics, a hands-free dog leash and have Cathe's workout bench on my Christmas "maybe" list. How I rig my Step Reebok step up as an incline bench is humorous, though also a bit dangerous. Oh, I got a 6' resistance band too. Can't forget that. :)

Hmmmm, I don't know if I can remember them all..............

STS Cardio
Tracey's CKBC, Steady State Step, HISM2
Amy's ASC3 & 4, KB Surge
Kimberly Spreen's Cardio Combat (not new, but new to me, I LOVE Spreen's combat DVDs)

Equipment---------a hanging heavy bag & a few new med balls.

MidgetDogg, that is ALOT of equipment! Sounds like me when I was first building my home gym, it was not-stop purchases.

Vee, I had never heard of Michelle, but after seeing the Peak10 clips, I looked at some previous stuff that didn't really appeal to me either, but Cardio Burn was good. I really liked the way Atletica looked, but can't stand the drums used for the music. I heard there is no music off option, so that one is out. I'm hoping to hear some more reviews on Powerstrike 6.

PhyllisG, I keep hearing about Carmichaeal "fuel" workouts, guess I'll have to look into those too. I was going to wait for clips, but once I get even the notion I want something, I have NO control

Mary/totalfitnessdvds.com has the clips for the fuel ones. They looked pretty good to me, so if you are looking for control, tread with caution. I did not not mind the drums in the Atletica clip, but am not sure how an entire workout worth of drumming will be...will know soon enough.

No kidding! But I needed heavier dumbbells for STS and I just started running this year, and since I live near Buffalo, I need apparel for the nutty weather. Really didn't need the 2nd heart rate monitor, but once I found out they had them with GPS technology - I justified it. Dumb really, since I can map out the routes online to find out how far I've run, but eh.... it's fun to see your pace while you're moving.

Kim's Absolute Kick-Boxing is fantastic, I have one of her combat dvds, but only did it once, not sure why, I should revisit.

I forgot I bought Tracey's latest kickbox dvd, that must have been this year too. I knew there had to be something I forgot.

I only got STS Cardio. I had some financial issues but if I had more moneys!!! I would have gotten Turbo Fire. It looks like fun.

Took a quick look, and phew, I don't think I would enjoy these, the only one I would consider is Metfuel, the others right away don't appeal to me. Wow something I won't spend money on, that's something new for me!

Hard to remember all, but...

Shock Cardio
Turbo Fire + TF Advanced (BEST PURCHASE!)
BBL (but then traded for CLX)
T. Staehle Cardio Kickbox Challenge
Power Hour +
Amy Bento APX
Tony Horton - Fountain of Youth yoga
couple of KCM's, but can't remember which ones

Preorder:
Cathe's new series

There may be more, but that's all I can think of now. Fun thread!

Completed my Cathe Library in 2010

My goal this year was to complete my Cathe library, which I did. Hooray!

All 4 Cathe pre-order DVDs
Stretch Max (this is a favorite)
Cardio Kicks / Circuit Max
Supersets / Push Pull
Boot Camp / Muscle Endurance
Pure Strength
CTX

I do a lot of sampling with Netflix videos, and am considering adding Amy's ASC videos and Tracey's Circuit Zone to my collection because I enjoyed them so much!

we have alot of fitness equipment. until this yr i really didnt appreciate it. clearly, dh fitness level and mine are miles apart so he needs heavier wts, and he's a guy. he's not into dvds. get the equip, just do it. till recently i didnt even want dvds. when the kids are home if i'm exercising, the tv is being used games, cartoons etc. however, now they are all at school. my fit tv has been canceled. it was a trial channel, who does this? give it back! well anyway, perfect time to do dvds or downloads in addition to using other equip. so i'm so much pickier than i would have thought, but i've narrowed it down to my fav. hopefully can get those fairly soon, while they are on sale. atm cathe is the only instructor that interests me. so that'll be great.

earlier this yr we got- portable heavy bag(we had one, but its broken), wii and wii fit plus, resistance band that looks like a huge rubber band, w/o clothes, shoes, dance dance revolution. i think thats it.

Fun thread:)

Cathe SC
Insanity
P90X
Bob Harper 4 new DVD's
Cathe newest 4 DVD (preorderd)
Amy Bento KB Surge, Abs & Stretch, A-Team Boot Camp ,Advanced Step Challenge (they should be here next week)

Bob Harpers set of 4 dvds

I have some additions:
Cathe 4 Day Split
Cathe Pure Strength
KCM Kickbox
KCM Bootcamp

I have read Kelly Coffey Meyers is going to film 2 more and Michelle Dozois is going to film a series of 8 more Peak 10 dvds, so those will kick off the 2011 spending spree :D, I am hoping for some good pre-sale discounts on these.

I just purchased/received:

Kimberly Spreen's:
Absolute Kickbox
Kickbox Bootcamp
Cardio Combat Surge
and
Criss Cross Cardio by Jacquelyn (forget her last name)

I bought a bunch of others including pre-ordering the new up and coming Cathe's but I'll be darned if I can remember most of them...

I do know I re-ordered Cathe's Step Moves and Athletic Step as well as a few other Cathe's I previously owned but sold and ended up wanting them back after a few years.

I LOVE Absolute Kickbox, it never gets old.

I have been tempted to sell some dvds, but I'm always afraid of wanting them back. The only set I ever sold was Hip Hop Abs, and if I was not so lazy about it, I would sell Barry's Bootcamp set, I just won't use those. I have a few single dvds, but for the price I can get, it doesn't seem worth it. I considered doing the VFF exchange, but I don't like the idea of giving out my address. It's a shame, I used to have a PO Box, that would have come in handy.

I like to sell to justify future purchases. ;) It not only makes room in my dvd cabinet but also in my bankroll for the new stuff I want. :) The benefits outweigh the regrets for me but selling can be a real PITA so I just haven't gotten around to it again...*sigh*

So far I have only tried the kickboxing portions of Absolute KB. I am going to try the k/b-combat interval w/o this weekend. Should be awesome! :D
