Just wanted to jump in here because I adore this topic!
Our first dance was to Just One Look by Doris Tray (an oldie).
"Just one look, and I fell so ha -ha-hard, in love....with you".
Think Cindy Crawford in the '90's Pepsi commercial. It fit perfectly because from the moment we met and made eye contact, we've been together ever since. (15 years now!)
I also had to have Prince's Forever In My Life played at our reception. DH didn't want to dance to this one, since it's not a first love type song:"I never imagined, that love would rain on me, and make me wanna settle down / But Baby it's true, I think I do. I just wanna tell ya that I wanna with you, Oh Baby if you do, too.
Forever, forever, Baby I want you forever...
Man, I Love that song!!!
And finally, I sang this song at a good friend's wedding last summer.
It's by Steven Curtis Chapman titled I WILL BE HERE.
"Tomorrow morning if you wake up, and the sun does not appear
I, I Will Be Here
If in the dark we lose sight of love, hold my hand and have no fear
'cause I , I will be here
I will be here, when you feel like being quiet. When you need to speak your mind, I will listen
And I will be here, when the laughter turns to cryin', throught the winning, losing, and trying, I will hold you
And I will be here
OK, I'm done reminiscing and quoting lyrics - but thanks for this post! It brought up nice memories,
