What resources did you use to figure out proper nutrition?

Hi Cathe,

I'm 5'4" and just turned 40. I was mainly doing cardio and yoga for my exercises, but since I found you on FitTV this year I am now hooked and doing your videos.

I have been curious about how you figured out the proper nutrition for your body to aid in the exercises that you perform. You have so much energy, and a great physique. I find that most days lately I am very low on energy, and I had to lower my weights on some of the GS upper body exercises from the Dec. 06 rotation towards the last 2 weeks. I have learned that some foods are not the best for me, but I would like to know how to fuel my body with the type of exercises that you provide. Did you consult a nutritionist, or read books? Can you recommend some books (if possible)?

Thank you.

Tosca Reno has a WONDERFUL book called The Eat-Clean Diet. A lot of us here really enjoy it. It's very motivating.

I would highly recommend Patrick Holford's "Low GL Diet Made Easy". The aim is to eat a healhty diet that balances blood sugar for maximum energy.
