What next?...

Hi there! I finally got my first Cathe video (I had to wait a week, but I was out of town anyway, so I guess it wasn't too bad). By the way, the tape is The Wedding Video, since everyone reccomended it as a good starter. And it was great--I love Cathe's style, her cueing, and her coreography--and I was pretty darn sweaty when I was done (I only did the cardio section because I only had time for that, and yesterday I spent the day moving into a new upstairs apartment,so I had no time for the weights part).
However, I had absolutely no trouble at all with the moves, and am already wanting something a little more advanced. I did have a membership at the Y a year ago, and took an advanced step class three days a week, and the choreography in that class was pretty intense--maybe that's why I picked up on Cathe's stuff so easily. Are the more advanced tapes more physically demanding or just more choreographically challenging? I'll take either--I'm up for a challenge, and I love complexity! So, I know I'll be overwhelmed with the suggestions if I ask this, but... what do you suggest?
Thanks so much, everyone! I'm thrilled at the prospect of more Cathe stuff!

Hi Wendy

I would recommend PowerMax and BodyMax. They are challenging, have fairly complex choreography, and they are fun! (Although, BodyMax can really be a killer when you do the entire tape at once!) However, I hope your new UPSTAIRS apartment is soundproofed. Your downstairs neighbors aren't going to like you very much if you're doing Cathe's tapes above them! Good luck and have fun!

Wendy, you said you had absolutely no problem with the choreography in the wedding video and it sounds like, although you worked up a good sweat, you could handle the intensity as well...so, I would almost say...pick any. Power Max is an all time favorite of a lot of Cathe fans...high on intensity. And for a higher end choreography,if you really want to be challenged, is Step Works. Mainly because Step Works has a much faster beat and there aren't too many build up sequences for the steps...but once you get it..it flows!

.

Warning though..these are two at the top of the intensity/choreography step level.

Have fun...and just to make it harder to decide

, my favorite step workout with Cathe is the step portion of Body Max with the step section in Maximum Intensity Cardio for a complete workout...two other very good tapes even when done by themselves

Hi Wendy!

I agree with all the above choices. They're all great. If you're looking for something that's really challenging physically I would recommend Interval Max. It's a tough one. The good thing about Cathe's videos is whichever one you choose you can guarantee you'll get a great workout. Let us know which one you decide on.
