What New Years Day Workout Are You Doing?

Today I'm doing...

Happy New Year everyone! I've been "off the beam" with workouts and eating over the holidays and since my shoulder surgery. Today I am going to do MuscleMax to get a jump start on my weight training.

What is everyone else doing?

BodyMax 2 cardio, pushups & walking lunges. Bike yesterday & today - my trusty Airdyne. Took a full week off over Xmas from 12/24-12/30. Lovely! I enjoyed my time off, but time to get back to work.

My "test" jeans fit good this morning, so that was cool.
 
I will be doing CardioCoach Vol. 8 and challenge 3 from volume 7 outside with the poochies, plus a segment from CoreMax and yoga.

I'm really liking Kelly Coffey-Meyer to compliment my Cathe library. Actually my new alternates are KCM, Anni, Ilaria's new workouts and Patrick's new HWC 2!

Today I started my 200 swing Challenge. So I did 200 swings this morning with my 30lb kettlebell.

This afternoon I'm doing a jump rope/ab workout.

I LOVE that 30 min Bi, Tri, and Shourlder workout!!! :) I started a CLX rotation now - so wont be using it for a while now...

I am doing CLX Burn Intervals and Ab Burner - this will be my second time with that workout - I really like it!

I will be unofficially starting my training for my 100 mile bike ride in July today. (Unofficially as it's still 7 months out - but as it's in memory of my Mom, I wanted to symbolically start today). As the weather is iffy, I'll be riding to Spinervals Lake Placid Training Ride today. Not sure how far I'll go - after all, Penn State is playing today. :D
 
I did P90X Legs and Back and Ab Ripper X at 10:30 this morning so I can sit on my bum and watch football all day - GO MSU SPARTANS!!
 
I did CLX Burn Circuit 1 and Leslie Sansone 4 miles express super challenge.

Today was Jari Love's Ripped 1000. I've been using her Ripped workouts for a month now and am already having great results. I think I've finally realized that my body does not like heavy weights. Even with the high reps, my knee hasn't bothered me once. High reps and low weight have given me the lean, cut look without injuries!
 
I did Amy Bento ASCI and added 16 minutes on the stairmaster, during which I watched Chalean Extreme! I'm a sucker for fitness infomercials.

I ended up with an hr walk/run outside. Chilly out today, about 30 with sunshine, but windy. I really didn't feel like doing anything. Somehow the scale thinks I gained 3 lbs overnight and then another 3.5 lbs during the day today. Methinks Auntie Flo brought it with her when she showed up. It is impossible to actually gain 6.5 lbs in less than 24 hrs. The eating wasn't the best in Dec, but my wt held steady btwn the same 2 lbs I always bounce btwn. I doubt it all showed up in the last several hours. We also did pizza, cake and bubbles for dinner last night, so I'm sure all the salt isn't helping, either. I'm already set on cleaning up the eating going forward, so I expect with that, and Ms Flo heading out of town in a few days, things will be back to normal. I do feel much better after moving my butt, though!

I remember I once gained 5 lbs after eating Chinese food. That salt will get you every time.
