What kind of dancing do you like to do ?

just curious! and i am expecting some very creative answers from some of you who shall remain nameless;-)


i like salsa, two stepping, jitter bugging, zydeco, line dancing, club thumping(hip hop) and cumbias, oh and disco!!

my husband and I love taking ballroom dancing classes. We love anything latin but I also really enjoy swing dancing. OOHH and the tango...what fun!! Sounds nerdy huh?

There is no name for the kind of dancing I like to do}(

I don't line dance and I don't participate in any kind of dancing like that where everyone does the same thing. Like the Macarena.

I mostly like dancing to hard ass German techno and trance and industrial/alternative music. I'll dance to jungle for about 4 minutes before it makes my head hurt. I don't do girly dancing where we all stand around in our stocking feet holding our drinks and slightly waving our behinds. Go hard or go home;-)
 
I pretty much like any kind of dancing, except I'm not real big on the Modern Dance thing. I had to take a Modern Dance class in college and it wasn't my favorite, although it was still dancing and therefore still more fun than not dancing at all!!!

LOL!!!Shelley are you a closet punkie/alternative/rocker/slam dance chick?? If so, well I must admit I'm right there with you. Although I love dancing (privately) to Prodigy and NIN (among others)

Carolyn - oh, there's no closet about it. My favourite band is Tool:) NIN is awesome, but only old NIN when Trent was really freakin' angry. Pretty Hate Machine and Downward Spiral NIN. KMFDM, Rammstein, you get the picture.
 
Believe it or not, Sophie asked that we play Rammstein as the musical chairs music for her birthday party. I advised that I could not afford therapy for that many children}(

Luna, no wonder your stint as a stripper was short-lived. I don't think I dance particularly well. That requires rhythym but I will dance and sing to anything, seated, standing, in my car, at the grocery store. I want to dance like Shelley or my baby sister, Terri, who danced with such abandonment and naturalness, it took my breath away! :) I haven't been in a dance club in a decade, at least!

Hi, I like Salsa dancing, I can do the Cha cha, merengue, bachata, samba, all of the Latin dances, but Salsa is my favorite.
 
No name for the kind of dancing I do. I go with the music. Wherever it leads to, I'll go. I can be hip, wild, etc. I like to jump up and down on my bed sometimes and swing my head around like I am at some Ozzy concert, etc. Yeah, I am so immature at times and nutty, but life is short! Most think I am so quiet, hmmmmm. LOL!

You will never find me doing the Polka, etc. Not in a million years!

Country line dancing is my fave! I also like dancing to the oldies (music from my mom's generation) and to 80's stuff. I am not fond at all of today's dance music-hip hop, etc.

Wow...haven't heard the name KMFDM in forever!!! Were you also into Skinny Puppy and Ministry? I've recently gotten my DH into some old Ministry and Bad Religion. Had to start with the old Ministry cause the later stuff kinda scared him}( }( ...we all have to start somewhere.
Do you also like Punkie stuff (greenday,blackflag,fugazi,etc)or are you just an alternative/electronic junkie? Just wondering cause it's always refreshing to find a fellow non-conformist!:) :)

all types of music, oh but I don't like techno...gives me a headache. My favorite is probably hip hop.

Wow I didn't realize so many people could dance. That is soo awesome and amazing, I wish I could!!!
I can headbang (for a little well...to long and I get a headache) and well does slow danceing count or maybe kickboxing?? because thats about as coordinated as I get :7
