What is it about STS that is producing such awesome results?

Everyone on all the forums I belong to (Cathe, VF, YaYas) have gotten great results with STS and most said they really haven't been eating all that clean.. I've only done up to Disc 5 (I did disc 3 twice;) ) and so far I've lost a little weight, inches on waist (post-menopausal waist I might add), hips and thighs and I've lost a little body fat. Tomorrow is my official weigh, measure and log day so I'll know for sure my results so far. And my diet has sucked! This system is tough. I'm lifting much heavier then I usually do. I would have never chosen the weight poundage the 1RM test suggests so maybe there's something there.

You know, I hadn't been eating well for the first 2.5 weeks or so, and was ravenous all the time. My weight went up for awhile and just dropped. Suddenly I'm able to drink plenty of water and started feeling pretty good overall. I really think working at this weight range is doing it. It is more intense than I'd ever try before. I can't wait to see how my measurements look... ;)

For me, I think it's the higher level of intensity, sequence of exercises and the continual changes. (But I don't know!)

I just know I feel great and inspite of how hard I'm working I have more energy! I'm doing the 6 month program so won't measure again for a couple more weeks, but my pants are looser and that's where I do want to see changes. (I don't need to lose weight, just trying to reduce body fat.) Cathe has definitely created a fantastic program! One that would be hard to top.

Jo :D

It just works...I've always been frustrated by how slowly I'd see results, even though I work out 6-7 times a week (combo of Cathe DVDs, spinning, weight training) and seemed to be at a chronic plateau, no matter how much I tried to mix up my weight training. STS just brings it to a whole new level of shocking my muscles and it's really starting to work. I am thrilled so far and can't wait to see the results at the end of the three mesos!!

I agree with what my sister just said - the combination of higher-intensity weight training coupled with the "shock" of doing something different everyday has to be the trick. I also think that (at least for my sister and I) - we are now officially obsessed with working out and I think we've actually really amped up our cardio activity as well. So - all combined, we've made some really good changes to an already pretty solid workout regime and it's working. We are both eating pretty clean - though we know that eating clean all the time isn't very fun so we give in now and then (especially to a good glass of cab or two now and then!). All in all, I am thrilled, I feel energized, happy and powerful - oh, and very sore, STILL, from STS legs on meso 2 and I did that disc two days ago! Talk about DOMS!!!

Hi Shoegoddess! I was going to post here about the tremendous results that I am having with STS. I had no idea I had lost so much weight until I went to the hair salon and my stylist and her assistant both noticed my weight loss. I have not really lost a ton of weight, but I am so much more toned and compact than before.

I am also getting stronger, just not as strong as Cathe and her cast, but certainly for myself. It used to be nearly impossible for me to handle two 25 lb dumbbells for certain exercises, but 25 lb now feels like 15 lb.

Isn't Disk 5 of Meso One killer? I did it last night and I was sweating buckets and working so hard. In fact, since I don't have a wall, I sat the wall parts out. I know I am wuss, but I honestly needed those brief breaks. All the legwork makes Butt and Guts look like a beginner to intermediate workout.

Cathe uses such innovative and new moves. I love the gliding disk use and the innovative use of the band.

I love the extended stretch and do it after my STS workouts unless I am in a major hurry.

On my cardio days I do an ab circuit (again they are intense).

One other thing: I am wearing jeans that I could not wear before. STS works. If you give it your all, you WILL see results.

I have not been really watching my food intake, but I have switched to more fresh fruits and veggies. It is almost as if I am losing my sweet tooth.

Last night:

I went through 5 16 oz bottles of water during the workout. So I hydrated during the wall squats.

STS is by far the most intense, effective and well produced workout set that I have ever done anywhere. I outgrew the Firm years ago with the exception of some of the Classics.

I can't wait to get to Meso 3 and do Plyo legs. I guess I will use 4 Day Split Boot Camp to work up to some of the Plyo moves.

One other thing: My energy level has really soared and I get more done in every aspect of my life.

Oh, I may be post menopausal, but I do not have the jelly belly I did have.

Sorry this is so long but I had to rave.

I'm not doing STS yet, but I'm sure it's a combination of things, some already mentioned, but also consistency.

I don't know if it's so much doing something different and intense. CLX is new and can be intense but not many people are reporting in with results like with STS (and with the first month at that, not the 3rd like in CLX).

I'm jealous of all you STS people shrinking already! Can't wait to hear what your results are in meso 2 and 3.
