that makes me feel like I have to have everything she has ever made? I just made an 8 week rotation, but still I had to have her most recent DVD's. They aren't even in my rotation, but I just had to have them. Once I caught on to Cathe, I had to have EVERYTHING!!! I have heard alot of people say that. What does Cathe do to us?

What does Cathe do to us? For me, she inspires. I secretly love seeing her legs shake just like mine! She's genuine. She's not telling you to do something that SHE isn't doing. And she sweats - I like that. She's not staying all fresh for the camera. So I guess I'd say that she doesn't do anything TO us. She does stuff FOR us. I like that. Alexis

That is so true. When I am fatigued and think I can't go on, Cathe says she is fatigued too. She doesn't pretend it isn't burning, or that she isn't breathing hard. There is nothing more annoying to me than working out with an instructor who looks perfect all of the time, who doesn't sweat, and uses piddly little weights. Cathe is real, that makes all the difference to me. :)
 
Because you know every workout will work you out! I always know that I get a great challenging workout with her. It's unfortunate that there are too few advanced performers on the market that are up to her calibur. She has a winning personality, good music, great cueing and background team. What more could you ask for?!:)
 
I agree too. But I have to have all her latest stuff. I just couldn't do her early stuff anymore, the outfits just killed me to think I use to dress like that :eek:
She is getting older, has kids, looks wonderful and is real. And I swear every time she says to do something because I'm sloughing she actually catches me. I love it. And no boob job either. And her crew is always real too. I like that they leave in the little goofs so you don't feel like they are perfect and you aren't. It happens to everyone.

Traci hit it for me - I noticed during MIC earlier that she had never gotten a boob job, which seems to be really unusual in the fitness industry and inspires respect. Also, like you gals said, I feel like she's being honest with me - she's got a GREAT body that I'd love to have, and I feel like she's putting the real deal in her videos - like if you do the videos you could really look like her. Yes, you have to use heavy weights and really push yourself, but I hate videos where the instructors look great, and you buy their videos and realize that there is no way anyone could look like them doing their own videos (because they are too easy).

I have to chime in that it often amazes me why people look so much at the physical appearance of someone and try to find their flaws. So what if the outfits are outdated, is that really important? If she did have a boob job, would that make her fake or less "real"? I will never understand this thinking. I am one of the few that seldom look for screw-ups in vids or, go berserk over the music choice, or comment on background exercisers physique. I don't care how tan they are or if they put on a few pounds. I'm in it for the awesome workout! Sometimes that gets overlooked. Enough of my rant, but this peeves me for some reason.
 
I find her very motivational. I have tried to do weights at home without her and it's just not the same. Plus for me having someone else set the pace and count allows me to focus on my form. Her cue'ing can't be beat. She is very "real" and down to earth seeming and you can tell she's smart and not just a pretty face.
 
I feel the same way. I started with one Cathe workout in November and I now have almost all of her workouts. For me, I see results I have never seen in my life. Cathe is fun, she's tough, she keeps it interesting and she just has a way of making you feel so accomplished. She's just the best there is. :)
 
I love her super professional, no nonsense and thorough approach and attention to detail. Though I like and still do some firm workouts, I am disappointed that the instructors do not use the weights they use when they themselves workout. When Cathe uses a 35 pound barbell, I am inspired to improve. The firm uses much lighter weights - in the strength workouts, not just AWT - though they are good workouts.
I like Cathe is a realistic trainer, looking to push herself and everyone else. I never get the impression it's about how you look but how you feel.:)
