What DVD player to get?

I know this has been asked before, but I tried searching the forum and got a ton of matches, and my head is hurting too much tonight to go through them all...

I was doing my Cathe DVDs on our Xbox, and except for a freezing problem with S&H they all worked, even the Body Blast series. My son and I, however, seem to get in conflicts over it, so I asked for a DVD player for Christmas. I was given an RCA, model DRC198N, and while it will play the intro, it then gives me a message that the discs are incompatible. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

My DVD will not play any of the Premix workouts! When a segment is over the screen says Pause here if necessary. So I will press play or next and nothing happens. I would love to know too if it's my player or what. I have a Panasomic.

If you know your DVDs work fine, then it sounds like the problem is in the player. Why don't you take it back to the store and exchange it for a different brand? Sony players are really good. Better yet, take a couple of the Cathe DVDs with you to the store, try them out on several players and see which one is best for you. I'm sure the sales associate will be happy to assist you.

I know the problem is with the player, and I'm planning to take it back. I was just wondering what DVD players other people have that will play the DVDs properly. I didn't think of taking the DVDs with me.

Thanks!

Hi Lisa, I play my DVD's on this really cheap Akai system I got for Christmas last year. I think my husband got it at Sam's Club. All my DVD's play great, except for Cardio Hits. I have to load that DVD a certain way to get the player to read it.

Talk to you later.;-) Happy New Year!

Susan!

The same thing happens to me. If I hit skip 2X it will continue and it only takes a split second to do it. Hope this works for you.

My problems were over once a got a Sony. I had an APEX before that and it was horrible. I spent more time trying to get my DVD's to work than actually workingout.
