What do you use to increase 5%?

I have the weighted gloves that can be 1/2 lb or 1 lb each. Wrist weights that are 1 lb each and ankles weights that are adjustable in 1/2 lb increments up to 5 lbs and I've been using those on my wrists with no problems. It's been working really well for me to use those in various combinations.
 
I've been using 1lb wrist weights and 2lb weighted gloves. It works but can be a bit cumbersome especially with the limited rests between exercises. So I ordered the gloves with the zipper pockets for weights. :cool:
 
I use the weighted gloves by Cathe and 2 lb. wrist weights. On another thread, there was a great idea to add "sinkers" into the zippered weighted gloves. I dislike the wrist weights and am going to try out using the sinkers.
 
I use all kinds of stuff.... a pair of 1.25lb platemates, pace weights in .5lb increments ( I have 10 of those) When I do the plie squats with heavy weights I put 5lb ankle weights around my wrists and load up my heaviest DB (which is 35lbs) with all the magnetic weights to get 47.5 lbs... I read somewhere in the forums the absolute brilliant idea to put barbell plates in a child's backpack instead of using a weighted vest. I am going to give that a whirl if I can't make it to the gym for my squat rack leg days.

I use PlateMates. One or two to each dumbbell, or even slapped on to the plates on my barbell. They work awesome - I wish I had discovered them earlier!

I totally forgot I have ankle weights that adjust in 1/2 pound increments. I ran to the closet and dug them out to try them on my wrists and they work!! You just saved me money. I was going to get the thumb hook wrist weights but no need to now. THANKS!!!
