I use all kinds of stuff.... a pair of 1.25lb platemates, pace weights in .5lb increments ( I have 10 of those) When I do the plie squats with heavy weights I put 5lb ankle weights around my wrists and load up my heaviest DB (which is 35lbs) with all the magnetic weights to get 47.5 lbs... I read somewhere in the forums the absolute brilliant idea to put barbell plates in a child's backpack instead of using a weighted vest. I am going to give that a whirl if I can't make it to the gym for my squat rack leg days.
