What do you order at Starbuck's?

I know that Starbuck's is expensive and certainly a luxury occasional item for me these days, but I thought it would be fun to share what we order at Starbuck's. I find that my order has gotten so wordy I almost feel embarrased to order it. Here goes:

Dry Grande Decaf Soymilk Cappucino

Sometimes I pick up coffee for my friend at work and she will get a Tall Skinny Vanilla Latte.

Hmm, what does dry mean?

I am also somewhat high maintenance at SB. I like a grande skinny vanilla misto. One time I caught them trying to put sugar syrup in it and the barista told me that skinny term (meaning nonfat AND sugar free) only applied to the latte. What? So now it is an even wordier order- grande nonfat sugar free vanilla misto. Geez.

Tall skinny sugar-free vanilla latte.

Who knows what that sugar-free vanilla flavoring is made of (something synthetic, of course), but I only have one every few months or so, so I'm not worrying about it!

Have a great day,
Deborah

I'm interested to know what "dry" means too. And what is a misto?

I get a Decaf Venti Skinny Latte.

If I'm feel like flavor I get a Decaf Venti Skinny Cinnamon Dolche Latte.

However, because I drink decaf coffee I have stopped getting starbucks since they use formaldehyde to decaf most of their beans. Now I'm all about the organic water processed decaf coffee.

Interesting thread. We have a Starbuck's in the building where I work. At first it was only in summer, and then occasionally in winter, and I'm now in the habit of going there every single day to get an "iced green tea venti unsweetened." It's mostly just water, but it refreshes me and feels like it gives me a little boost to keep on working. I bring my lunch from home, so it's the only thing I buy all day. The little (mostly mental) boost it gives me seems worth the $2.60. Come to think of it, it's the only break I take all day aside from going to the ladies room.

When you order "dry" cappucino they just spoon the foam over the espresso instead of pouring the whole thing of foamed milk/soymilk into your drink. It has a stronger espresso taste when you order dry. In contrast if you order it "wet" it will have more milk.

Grande mocha non-fat no-whip triple shot.

Summer time -- it's a grande light caramel frap

Has anyone tried their oatmeal? I usually don't order food at Starbucks, but I might get the oatmeal sometime. I've ordered a Vivano before (the protein smoothie) -- I make better smoothies at home, frankly.

Brew of the day. I drink it black, without sugar. Love, love, love me some hot Starbucks black coffee. Starbucks isnt in India yet, so I make it a point to get a cup everyday if I am outside the country.

I try their other stuff on occasion but always end up regretting that I did not choose my usual back coffee. I dont mind black iced coffee on a hot day, but I dont like soy/milky/creamy Starbucks drinks.

And what is a misto?

Misto is Starbuck's fancy name for coffee with steamed milk...it tastes better when they add the hot milk than putting it in yourself and making your coffee cold!

Sometimes I order the misto or I'll get the Grande Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte. Light Frappuccino if it's hot outside. And, if I want to order something with 0 cals, I'll get a hot passion-fruit tea.

Venti Americano with cinnamon powder. Love it! Every few months I'll order the vanilla bean frappucino with whip. It was even better when they had the chocolate whip cream and I'd have them put that on instead. Yum!

I go to Starbucks maybe twice a month and I order the full fat/full sugar version of a grande iced white mocha. It's so good.

I've tried the skinny lattes with the sugar free syrup in them and I thought they were kind of gross .

The misto sounds good. I haven't even heard of that so I might give that a try one time.

Grande Peppermint Mocha -- oh my word, heaven. I think of this as a dessert, and I don't have it very often at all (maybe twice a year).

Green Tea Frappachino - with just a squirt of whipped cream. In the summer I have the one with blackberries in it. Once a month.

I'm like Nancy324 - I get a venti shaken green tea - no sweetner. It's inexpensive and it 'keeps' if I can't finish it right away. I just refrigerate it for later that day.

That's not to say that I don't ever get a tall cafe' mocha - sometimes skinny, sometimes not! ;)

I'm another that loves the venti skinny cinnamon dolche latte. If I'm feeling naughty, I get a venti caramel frappacino. But the truth is I rarely go to Starbucks anymore.
