What do you guys live for??

My answer to all three questions are my faith in Jesus Christ.
Right now I have a lot to be thankful for which make getting up each and every morning easier but I also know that these things could change so my faith is the one unshakable/unmovable thing in my life.
Here are some of the current blessings I'm enjoying that definitely make getting up in the morning a lot easier:
fresh ground Dunkin Donuts coffee
my husband Al
a job I enjoy(although it is stressful and frustrating while at the same time fulfilling)
friends
family(especially my little nephews...I have a 4th nephew or niece on the way, due June 8)
good health
working out
fall weather(the anticipation of it)
lazy, rainy weeknds(one of those will come around here soon)
a snow day or two(maybe this winter...here in S.C. it only takes an inch or two)
M&M's

Interesting post...:)
I feel very lucky. Coming from a wacky family I'm thankful that I have 2 great very well adjusted kids (and they are teenagers), and a wonderful husband. I love my work -- first, my skin care business, and now my new personal training practice.
I have this great feeling at the end of the day that I actually made a difference in someone's life that day. And that's a huge kicker when it comes to "what motivates you".
Also, good health, my dog etc. But it's the "giving" factor that plays a big part in my life. Mari

My answer to all three questions is my faith in Jesus Christ as well. Without that I'd be dead from drugs or suicide.

But also (and as a result of the above answer), I have a wonderful husband, children, church (my real extended family)--and I love working out, cooking, baking, and eating (that's maybe not so good:9 :p)

My 2 kids. My faith in God.

After a very tough year my faith is much stronger. I've learned to look for the miracles each day presents.

In the darkness I've seen the light so much stronger.

All the superficial stuff is SO much LESS important.

My faith in God who never lets me down even when I let Him down repeatedly

My family - my husband of 26 years and my son and daughter
Good health for my family and myself

Trials that I've been through that served in making me a more patient person and one who has learned, for the most part, not to sweat the small stuff.

My husband

A deeply compelling "day" job (domestic violence crime case investigation and preparation for criminal charges, and other victim assistance)

A wonderfully gratifying part-time job as aqua instructor

My Cathe workouts and weightlifting

My parents, brothers and sister

18+ years ago I was getting to the point where I was in danger of drinking myself to death. So every day since 07/20/87 has felt like a second chance, and I've tried to make the most of it.

I'd also like to add: a very small but very valued group of friends, some of whom I've "inherited" through my husband, others of whom I've made through my aqua classes, and of course my beloved Killer Bees (Four Blondes and a Baldie) whom I've met through the Cathe Forums. I'm an introvert at heart so I've always had difficulty making friends, but my friends at this time in my life are friends for the ages.

WOW! I could have written every one of those answers! This is a great thread.

As a few others have said, what keeps me going (and has in the past) is my "sheer stubbornness and the stark refusal to let anything or anyone make me crumble" (Pinky's words). I've had a very tough 2 years, but things have settled:

*My children and I are happy and healthy, and they have adjusted rather well and pretty quickly to losing their daddy.

*I have an AWESOME support system that includes neighbors, friends, church parishoners, and FAMILY.

*I am dating a wonderful man with 2 great children.

*I wake up everyday and am BREATHING!

My faith and my family, my constant quest to learn why God put me here and to live according to the grace given to me.
