To answer the original question... here's a sample of what I might eat in a day:
B - cereal (something whole grain, high fiber and moderate protein), soy milk and a banana
S - plain yogurt with granola
L - leftovers from the previous night's dinner
S - baby carrots and string cheese
D - whole wheat penne tossed with sauteed fresh veggies
As for protein bars... they probably aren'd BAD for you if you just have then once in a while. I wouldn't eat them every day, but that's just me. They're highly processed, and I try to stay away from highly processed foods (except for cookies
