Went over my calories today

Yes and no. Yes if you do it every day. No if it's an occasional thing. Sometimes a girl's just got to eat. It's really not about what you eat in one day but more what you eat day in and day out. Just don't use it as an excuse to overeat tomorrow and the next day and the next.... I hope whatever the excess was was good!
 
The excess calories do not matter if they are a one time event. You gain fat only through chronic calorie overconsumption.

Yes, the scale might show you heavier the next day but it is water weight and will go away if you go down to your regular calories. Fat does not grow from one day to the next.

I'm in total agreement! I allow myself one splurge day a week (usually Saturdays). I still try to stay as close as possible to my limit, but if I crave fast food, I have it, or a cookie, or if I'm craving a certain restaurant. I believe in satisfying cravings so I don't overindulge when the craving gets too strong. The rest of the week, I stay completely honest with my calories and food and don't have issues with cravings, especially when someone brings something good in to the office! :D
 
Yep, I agree with everyone, don't sweat it. Heck, it might even give your metabolism a good little boost. I think it's good to stagger calories a bit- I have a harder time actually doing this than saying it (ha!) but no worries. One day is NOT a big deal at all!
 
Thanks for that! It's because I went to disneyland yesterday! And I did good the whooole day, the only thing I bought was water, because it was about 99 degrees! And then when we left my boyfriend was like "Let's go to Del Taco!" so I blew it! But you're right, it isn't everyday and today will be better and I have to do rhythmic step so it's all good! hahah.....

I'm still not talking to myself though. Haha kidding
 
i like to calorie cycle/stagger too. so if i went over like you did, i would ease back the next day to create a slightly bigger calorie deficit than normal.

and disneyland is an awesome reason to go over a bit!!!
 
Thanks guys!! I know I sweat a lot yesterday! I never used to sweat that much until I started exercising more, and now I sweat too easily haha! :)

What do you guys think of subway?
