Weird cramping during/after MIC..does this happen to anyone?

Hi guys!
Lately, I have been having a strange thing going on. The last 2 times I have done MIC, my stomach has gone absolutely haywire, and for 2 days post workout, my stomach was still sick (like horrible menstrual cramping for 2 days) and ..umm ..how can I say this, I had to go to the bathroom almost every second!
It wasn't the flu, I did this tape on 2 different weeks. I did the whole thing both times though, and ..I am afraid to try MIC again! This is only happened twice, and recently!

This NEVER happens with other (strenuous) videos, like Body Max, or Interval Max or Circuit Max etc...

Has this happened to anyone else? If it hasn't happened to anyone else, I understand, it is weird I think!! Total cramping for 2 days after the workout!

Hi Jaime.... that is so odd..i just did circuit max on thurs. then fri. I went to do rythmic step and i litterly buckled over with stomach cramps and it was like that til today(mon.).thats what it felt like to me was very bad menstrual cramps...and it wasnt the flu for me either.it was a bummer cause i had to take a 3 day break from working out but i am looking foward to a good workout today....i wonder what it is??

I am interested to find out more about this. I may or may not have experienced it too; if so, it was a mild form and I assumed it was because my cycle had gone haywire from getting close to menopause.

Just curious, but have you increased your fiber intake lately? Or did you add flaxseed to your diet. Or did you eat beans (pintos, chickpeas, black-eyes) the day before (or earlier in the day?) Could you have some divericuli acting up? Or did you have a lot of dairy products that you may have trouble tolerating?

Just asking because I have had something similar happen but I was pretty sure that it was what I had eaten in the previous 24 hours.

I was wondering if I had to much caffeine...(or mabe dairy i guess).I had a coffee cooler earlier that day...but the weird thing was it( the cramps)lasted 3 days.....I tried to workout too and it killed to even step up on the step......

OK, count me in on this. Few weeks ago I did Power Max and like went harder on it with a higher than usual step and put more into it. I felt great right after. About an 1/2 hour later though I had these odd menstrual like symptoms setting in like you guys did. I felt real sick. Cramps, backache. I went to work next day but had to leave and even had to miss the next day too. I had no fever at all, didn't start my cycle (wasn't time) and also got the worst headache (not a migraine either). I like lived on Motrin for several days. It also took me exactly 3 days to recover.

I had no dietary changes prior to this incident. I just couldn't figure it out unless it was the higer step and pushing a little more overtrained me.

Joy, you had some GREAT ideas (very plausable!)
Maybe I ate something weird too-or ate a little more fiber or something. All I know, is that I don't wish that feeling on ANYONE! It was horrid! Chills, and menstral-like cramping and now I am scared to retry! I am in good shape, so it is not like I was attempting this workout as a beginner. It is so odd, I am (not glad) but I am glad you guys can comiserate!!!

Maybe it is the combo of higher than usual intensity and some kind of kink in the diet that day. Thanks SO much-maybe I will try to watch my diet and see if there is a correlation b/tween the video or the exertion or the diet or all of 'em.

I don't want to give up this tape! I always sweat my butt off, and now love it!

Make sure to drink plenty of water before, during, after workout. Your symptoms (some of them) also sound like dehydration.

RE: Weird cramping during/after MIC..does this happen t...

While I do not have MIC, I have had wild cramping after doing Awesome Abs on the Ball (obviously not a Cathe video). They get me later on in the day and on into day 2 - blinding pain. I have had some similar cramping after other cardio workouts or really heavy weight workouts but not for 3 days - usually 24-48 hours. Not sure what to tell you. I have assumd it is because I have endometriosis and have had several abdominal surgeries, including a cesarean, and a history of abdominal adhesions, so I wonder if this isn't part of it (for me, at least)?
