I posted late last night & Im not sure if everyone checks out that thread first before posting on the new thread. So, I wanted to make sure everyone saw it and Im sorry if it's a repeat...just ignore then please
:
Finishing STS was HUGE!! That was my first round AND my first ever Cathe rotation!! Heck, that was pretty much the first rotation I have EVER finished!! So, it has me feeling pretty good. I definitely gained strength!! My weight didn't budge cuz I really had a pretty bad few months of overeating, dieting, then binge cycle going on. But finishing it has gotten me motivated to go back through my other w/os and see how I have improved. I have to admit tho, STS may have made me a lil over confident cuz even tho I can lift heavier now, Cathe still kicks my butt and I had to eat a lil humble pie through my first non-STS weight w/o
Mel and
Sue thanks for the encouragement to register for the races. Sue, you're right, I do wanna do them. I just gotta get over the fact I just probably won't be finishing very fast & get over my irrational fears!! And Melanie, Im sure I can do a 5k like you said! Thanks guys
Renee so sorry to hear about all of your foot issues! You are definitely worse off than me. I hope it can be resolved or at least controlled for you.
Sue we all have days like that!! Today I woke up and I just knew that there was no way I was going to be able to w/o. I needed a day off! And you just need to listen to your body. this was a
need to rest not an excuse to be lazy as I have had to learn the difference !! LOL
I take a 5HTP and Melatonin supplement to help me sleep and I have gotten some of the best night's sleep. You can also take some Benadryl to knock you out too. I don't like prescription stuff and it is really a last resort/temporary solution.
Shereta wow, Marine Corps?! Impressive. And 6.7? Also impressive! But our abilities do change as we age as you well know. As long as you do your best and keep working it - just like you are - then you are doing GREAT!! When I did my outside run the other day, it had a few hills and I clocked in at 13 min/mile. so, we could be running partners! That
would be nice! I've realized for my goals that they are good to have, but this is for life and there is no deadline for me to get to a certain distance or speed just when my body is ready to reach it.
Sooo
great to be back! You guys are awesome
